His Boo, My Love, Her Drug

Rate this book
When you get married, It’s supposed to be for better or worse. In Torrey’s case, It was like that in the beginning until life as she knew it, took a turn for the worse; in her eyes.

Torrey’s husband, Matthew Wrinkler, had a skyrocketing career, as a musician. He was a member of the group called, The Golden Brothers. A thriving and sensational, music group. They played backup for many high-profile celebrities in concert, as well as, had their own hit records. Life was good until Matthew, was diagnosed with MS. He was forced to give up the one thing in life he loved just as much as his wife and daughter. He spiraled into a deep depression, but with the help of his brother, he snaps out of it. He’s reminded that he still has a family, that he needed to live and provide for.

Matthew soon sets his focus on just that; spending well needed time with his family. Being around them, full-time, takes his mind off being sick. He’s happy again but, his wife Torrey, is not. Adjusting to what she considers, now to be, an average life; begins to weigh on her. She misses going on tour and being in the spotlight. Not being a housewife. Torrey, confides in her best friend, who obliviously, introduces her to a newfound hobby; online dating. First, it’s all fun and games until she meets the very charming, Adrian Spruille. Instantly, she is smitten just off of his profile pictures. Torrey, see’s the good looks, cars, house and knows Adrian’s, pockets are deep. Something that she is accustomed to. But, looks can be very deceiving, as we all know.

You find yourself asking, Is Torrey, willing to throw away ten years of marriage, for an online fling? I mean, this is someone she barely knows, compared to someone she has been knowing for years. Possibly, Adrian, will be all that he’s made out to be and sweep her off her feet. It happens. People refer to it as, “A marriage that has run its course”. Or will she come to her senses and honor the vows she took before it’s too late?

Loved it

What a wonderful read. I’m anticipating part 2. That damn Torrey what a piece of work she takes gold digger to a whole different level. I can’t stand that ass. I hope her “bestie” beats that ass and gets her man. #BookBaes #ComeOnSequel #BittingNails

This my first time reading from this author but listen this book was hitting!!! Torie is a scandalous snake!!! I feel bad for Matt and their daughter because she's going to hurt them for her own wrong doing!! This Greg, Tasha and Will shituation is irking me!! Greg claims to Love Tasha but isn't man enough to step to Will who is supposed to be a brother to him smdh.... I'm side eyeing Jimi and Alan too...Something seems off to me about him!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Read unto part 2!

Good Read

Matt deserved better than Torrey's money hungry, selfish behind! I hope he's paying attention to her at all times and watching his back. Greg and Tasha are doing too much! They need to figure their relationship out before she ends up pregnant! Nomi is a good friend to run the businesses while Torrey reaps the majority of the benefits. Can't wait for part two!

The hood didn't kick in with book 1. I'm assuming book 2 will be "hood". There was however drama. An ungrateful spouse, cheating, lying, betrayal. I don't think Matthew is actually sick, maybe he's being poisoned. There is decent character development and plot movement and little to no errors in book 1. (full review will be on the series as a whole)

Wow

This series is gonna be lit. Torrey is a peace of work that needs to be dealt with. I hope nothing happens to my boy Matt. It’s a lot going on and I hope all of my babies come out on top. I can’t wait to read the next book. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book
