“No one ever said life would be easy….” Many of us will admit that, at times, life is hard. We buckle down, put our noses to the grindstone…and all too often wind up exhausted or burned out. But the problem isn’t that life is difficult. The problem is that life is impossible! Fortunately, what sounds like bad news is merely the beginning of the Good News in this concise, gospel-centered book about God’s abundant mercy and love. With wisdom, humor, and compassion, Nick Lannon casts life’s painful realities in the light of Jesus, the One who achieves the unachievable.
A thought-provoking premise: that life is impossible. Lannon places in stark contrast, the faithfulness of a God and his 'perfect' standards. He describes how we often lower the standards of God and our life situations to be merely difficult, when in reality, they are impossible pursuit. What stands clearly at the end, is a call to face the impossibilities of life, not with ignorance, but in surrender to Jesus.

This book spoke to my truest heart issues - the stuff nobody truly talks about. Funny, honest, and refreshing. Perhaps the first time I’ve had the gospel shared from a Christian book that didn’t give me a “five step plan,” but instead confirmed what I already suspected - life is impossible, not just difficult. And rather than telling me to work harder, or “turn that frown upside down,” pressed me to the only remedy: the perfect gift of Christ in my place.
If you think life is difficult than you’ve got it all wrong. Life is impossible. But here’s the good news, God, through Jesus Christ has accomplished the impossible on your behalf. This book will walk you through just how great the Good News really is!
