author is from New England but is a Raiders fan because the Patriots were so bad when he was growing up. Now he is trying to get inside being a real Pats fan by watching each game of the 2003 season with a different group/style of fans. He watches in bars or people's homes (friends of friends), road trips to Buffalo's stadium, to NY to a bar, and goes to a couple games in Foxboro.
