This book is written with the aim to help those going through a state of depression. Depression according to Merriam Webster’s, is a state of feeling a serious medical condition in which a person feels very sad, hopeless, and unimportant and often is unable to live in a normal way. This had often led to numerous cases of suicide and psychological traumas among people of all ages.

In this book, the knowledge of how I came to overcome this state is shared to others who also suffered the same fate and is packed with my experiences as well as lessons learnt and things discovered on my path to self help and self improvement. Personal development is a journey that requires many steps and guidelines and this book offers such and gives you unstoppable strength to overcome adversities on the road of living each day to the fullest.

Hence it is recommended that you read and practice these guidelines offered to regain self confidence and self esteem. You’re your own superhero! It’s time to save yourself and the only way you can do that is practicing what has been written but remember that thou shall not live by the book alone, you should research on your own too and help yourself.

In sum, the essence of life is satisfaction and comfortability and you can’t have those with a low self esteem and poor health or no skill. These are the basic requirements for living in full satisfaction. Life is also about relationships – we cannot survive without interaction. Born in Germany to American soldier and German mother. Army brat. Served in US Navy as Radarman aboard U.S.S. Cromwell (DE-1014) from 1967-71. BA in Anthropology from Ithaca College; MSW from Syracuse University. Worked in VA clinic and then in U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division psychiatric clinic in Germany for Dept. of Defense.
Writes historical fiction novels, including the (now 6-part) Jonathan Kinkaid nautical fiction series that follows the adventures of an American naval officer during the Revolutionary War; and the epic adventure "Sunset of the Iroquois," about a tribe of Cayuga Iroquois who tried to prevent the invasion of their lands by Washington's army in 1779.
Also wrote the Sgt. Smith World War II trilogy that follows a squad of soldiers in the 1st Infantry Division from North Africa, to Sicily, to D-Day and into Germany. The first book, "Baptism of Fire," is about the North African Campaign. Book two, "Soldiers in the Sun" is about the Campaign for Sicily. The third installment, "Forward to Danger" begins with the D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach, takes us across France and into Germany. Although written in novel format, this series is a true story, being a memoir of my father's experiences during the war, based on documented history and stories my father told me.
