Ciana Stone has been reading since the age of three, and wrote her first story at age five. Since then she enjoyed writing as a solitary form of entertainment, before coming out of the closet to share her stories with others. She holds several post graduate degrees and has often been referred to as a professional student. Her latest fields of interest are quantum mechanics and Taoism. When she is not writing (or studying) she enjoys painting (canvas, not walls), sculpting, running, hiking and yoga. She lives with her longtime lover in several locations in the United States.

Jake is helping his family and they are trying to make the ranch work. The Mannings are making it difficult as they called in a loan that was done before they were even born. The person behind it all wants the Nash Ranch destroyed along with the brothers.

Teddy and Jake have chemistry and wants things to work between them but her store is not making much money. She can’t help until she sees a contest for Jake to enter.

Can he win the contest and win over Teddy as well or will Deidre Manning Get her way?

This had romance, suspense and thrills. The characters were well done and fun to read about. Readers will be on the edge of their seat to see what happens with the Manning’s and the Nash’s.

Making a Stand

The Nash brothers are on the brink of loosing the ranch. Someone has poisoned water on the ranch and a lot of cows and bordered horses have died. Mik tried to save them with her powers but was only able to save 2, which is how they found the lake that was poisoned. They come up with the idea of Mik and Jesse going back on the rodeo circuit to try to win the National Finals. Meanwhile, Mik's sister has fallen for Jake, Mik's fiancee's Jed's, brother. She entered him in a contest as a horse whisperer cause all the Nash brothers has a way with horses. They don't know who is causing all the trouble until later in the book. It is a great book to read. If you like the paranormal and mystery, you will love this book.

This is good, the intensity of the unsolved mysteries is building anticipation. Jake is bit more mild mannered and is no ways as much of a hot-head as Jed is but Teddy on the other hand is just as feisty as her sister. Jake is very patient with her though. Deidre's plan is plowing through the family causing unpredictable and dangerous happenings. This story is shorter than the first, fast-paced but just as gripping.

This book is intertwined with another series by thus author. I didn't realize the 2 series overlapped and I am still unsure which should be read first, but I loved seeing those characters again. I also loved the way the romance grew, faced struggles that seemed insurmountable, and ultimately succeeded for both Teddy and Jake. There is still much more going on for the Nash family and I was all too happy to jump right into book 3 when I finished this book.

Book two in the continuing story. It’s a short book and therefore character development suffers even more than in book one. However the story is intriguing and the characters are likable.
