Tom McKenna is the pen name for first time author and part-time humorist, Tom McKenna. He has spent a lifetime observing the human condition in all its inglorious manifestations and regrettably notes, "There are many." Here, he has crafted five humorous, off-beat stories tasked with flanking, engaging and attacking the funny bone into unconditional surrender. He has drawn elements from the absurd, the mundane and the surreal, mixed them up and flung them into the air in a hodgepodge of understated, rapid-fire hilarity. Nothing is sacred, off limits or politically correct as he skewers bad jobs, man buns, pajamas in public and even old-time baseball. So mute the cell, put down the quiche and step away from your safe space to see what a 'whole bunch' of people are laughing at "Hey Mom, the Recliner Fell on Dad, Again!"
I loved this book. Tom McKenna has captured fabulous anecdotal stories from his youth in an Irish Catholic environment in the greater Boston area. Loved every word!
