For a book about camper vans published in 2016, this one already seems outdated. The electricity section mentions nothing about charging your phone and computer and instead calculates how much power you need to watch two hours of tv a day, which I found a little bizarre.

This was not the book I wanted it to be. I was looking for something with a more DYI approach and this book is definitely tailored to people who want to buy a camper van that is ready to go, instead of a cargo van they can customise themselves. It's also incredibly specific to the UK, so the advice section about renting and buying camper vans includes the addresses of where to do it. That's very helpful if you live somewhere near there, and not at all helpful if you don't.

The recipe section was also not something I was particularly interested in and it takes up a huge chunk of the book, which again, is not necessarily a flaw if that's what you want.

I did find some useful tips about mattresses, waste disposal and so on, but since I've already done a lot of research, not a lot of it was news to me. This book will be more helpful to someone who's just getting into camper vans. All in all, if you're really into vintage VW campers and live in the UK, this book may be your best bet, it just didn't fit my needs.

A wealth of information for people that own, or are looking to own, a camper can. Well written, with a great layout and design making it a really easy read.

Entertaining read, most of it covered elsewhere, so not sure of the value of the book. I checked mine out from the library
