Yikes. Where to start and how to do this without spoilers...
First off, it took me 2 days to read what was supposedly 13 books. I am a fast reader, but not that fast.
When I review books, I try to do constructive criticism if the book is good but needs a little help. I read a lot of indie authors. My own writing in reviews and whatnot may have typos because I'm usually using my phone, but I'm not charging money to read them.
These books have major issues. Ignoring grammatical errors like "here" instead of "hear" and the normal there/ their confusion, there are still many many problems.
First and foremost, Selena Shamar is a copy of Maggie Turnbull. The author changed names and some details such as type of food, but the plots are IDENTICAL and the two women even use the same dialogue! This is pure laziness and completely ridiculous. Poor Selena is so saddened by not being important enough to have her own plot that she often recalls things from when she lived in the UK (like Maggie) instead of India. The copying is so blatant that the gender of a murder victim is mis-stated at one point in Selena's story.
There are continuity issues, horrible grammar, massive sentence structure issues, and the end of every story feels rushed. In the Kate books, the author can't decide whether the assistant's name is Selena or Serena Fox (not to be mistaken with Selena Sharma). There's a town mentioned in Maggie and Selena's books... Is it Bangalow, Bagnalow, or Banaglow? Make up your mind!
We switch back and forth from first to third person. Kate and Lachlan are beyond confusing and have cliffhangers that are never resolved. The next book just picks up like the emotional crap of the previous book never happened.
Two MAJOR plot issues:
1)Schizophrenia does not mean multiple personalities or amnesia. This is easy to discover with some simple research.
2)There is no waiting period to report someone missing in Australia, just like the US and the UK. This is an extremely weak plot device that can be disproved with a simple Google search.
All in all I'd say don't bother. This was a waste of time and money.

Barely made it through two books. Very confusing to read. For someone who teaches cooking it sounds like she isn't that great plus she runs a B&B. Storyline very hard to follow. Free is free.
I really enjoyed this book and the description of the characters are really well written I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries
I was actually enjoying these short mystery stories, although they could use some editing and proofreading, but when I got to the last set, the Selena Sharma stories, I realized that they were almost exactly, word for word, the same as the Lady Margaret Turnbull books, with only the names and the setting changed. If I hadn’t been reading them as a series, it wouldn’t have been so noticeable but it really wasn’t smart to put the books with the same plot in a series together. Therefore, I rated the series only two stars. If I hadn’t read the last ones, I would have rated the others higher.
