"Blooming Beyond Brooklyn: Poems of Roots, Sorrows, & Lessons" is a poetry collection penned by the poet/life coach Iris J Arenson-Fuller. This book has a collection of poems related to different topics like dreams, when to let go, Brooklyn Summers, etc. It is a memoir poetry. I was angry/hurt because of a few things that happened to me in the past and I was unable to let them go. But this book inspired me to weave them into a garment of fabulous new colors. I love to read but not poetry. I think it was the title that initially attracted my interest in this book. I was not disappointed. This book is more like poetic storytelling. I found it to be rich in culture as well as personal experience. I started reading this like I would a memoir and soon realized that this was a literacy delicacy that should be sipped like hot soup rather than eaten like fast food. I’m looking for more books from this author.
