Cartoons for Thinking: Issues in Ethics and Values

Rate this book
One of the most popular texts in Gifted Education, this secondary student book sparks interest and is an exciting launching pad for virtually any direction that a creative teacher wants to lead students creative writing, research, debate, philosophical and ethical discussions, political science, history, etc. The book includes strategies of teaching, discussion topics, an array of suggested activities, and numerous “Mind Builder” exercises for further inquiry. The “Mind Builders” emphasize creative problem solving, higher-level thinking skills, and group dynamics (including leadership, communication, & conflict resolution). The text is very good and Doug Marlette’s cartoons are the stuff that has earned him the Pulitzer Prize.
