The volume presents a series of articles written by the Italian journalist Ettore Bernabei between 1951 and 1956 for “Il Mattino dell’Italia Centrale” and later for “Il Giornale del Mattino”. These 75 texts document the idealistic and political battle that Barnabei led on the front page of his newspaper, his editorial policies but also, as Piero Meucci wrote, “the choices that would make the Mattino/Giornale del Mattino an experiment that communicated ideas as well as technical solutions, at the very moment the new democratic journalism was being created”.
