A book written in 1913. It contains a description of how to make your own haybox. It has a ton of recipes and tips.
But aside from that it is a wonderful historic insight.

"When cooking no longer ties one to the kitchen, is no longer a labour that monopolizes one's time, dishlevels one's person, and exasperates the temper, the cook may go. We shall save her wages, her food, her room and her waste, and have more to spend in ways that bring a more satisfactory return."

I love it!
(and my first oatmeal porridge is in my new haybox as we speak!)

The university of California made it digitally available, so the book is just a google away!
