The Bratislava International Conferences on Modified Polymers have developed from broad-ranging meetings designed to extend the interaction of East European scientists, to become symposia on specialized topics in contemporary polymer science. The 14th Conference, held in October 2000, was devoted to multiphase polymeric materials with the focus on thermoplastics-containing materials. Topics covered ranged from electroconductive and magnetic composites to reactive processing and biodegradable blends. This volume of Macromolecular Symposia presents selected contributions from the conference and informs the reader of recent research in this field.
