5 stars - One of the few Indie books (Kaleidoscope) I've started and could not stop, until the final page. This one hooked me and would not let go. Written in the first person by a female, demonstrating a rare ability to convey, with amazing clarity and credibility, the thrilling story of a male character whose extraordinary ability torments him and nearly leads to his death. I would recommend this book to anyone. I look forward to reading the sequel. Stephen Douglass, Author
Mike Lewis is cursed in some ways and blessed in many others. His psychic ability keeps him from having the loving family he’s always wanted. Mike has kept his ability a secret for many years and he fears that, if he tells anyone about his ability, it will put them in grave danger.
Danger?
Yes; danger lurks at every turn because his mystical ability is so unique that someone wants to capture Mike in order to study his psychic ability, to find out how it works and if they can use it. They’ll do whatever it takes to further their covert agenda. If that means blood tests or dissection – if it costs him his life, they don’t care - not if they can use his gifts to their advantage.
Mike boldly narrates his fantastical story and shares his secret with the reader as he struggles to stay safe and as he learns to protect himself. His greatest desire is to live a normal life, to have a wife and family, but that elusive threat prohibits him from having any kind of meaningful relationship in this romantic suspense series.
The Vision Chronicles eight-book thriller series is a slice-of-life metaphysical/visionary story that details Mike's changing ability as he begins to accept his paranormal gift and evades those who doggedly pursue him. Once, only seeing fragmented images of the future through a kaleidoscope, his visions become clearer as indicated by the titles in the series until finally, he can see everything clearly.
If you love mind-boggling romantic suspense with a dash of paranormal, this is the psychic thriller series for you!

Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration. Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books. Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. I enjoyed reading "The Vision Chronicles Complete Books 1-9 very much. It was an interesting and exciting series. I'm glad I read it in the complete form because most of the books ended so abruptly and the next book was more like a new chapter. I just read it as one long fascinating book.
Amazing read!! Loved the characters and their stories!!! Hoping for more to follow!!! VERY well written and hard to stop reading at any point!!! Started this morning and couldn't stop until I finished it!!
I read the first book and loved it. When I saw the collection of 8 books in total, I knew I had to read all of them. They were worth every minute I spent devouring them! I honestly felt sad when I read the final page. You will enjoy this series, I promise.
I enjoyed this series of books. Each one is about 200 pages in length. As the series progresses, the reader becomes more engaged with the characters. I found myself unwilling to put down the books and finished the series quickly
Although it's labeled as psychic suspense there was very little of either. More of a love story that is way overdone. The "psychic ability" doesn't seem to be all that helpful. Main character is supposedly the handsomest, strongest, most sensitive man ever. Too many characters who adore him. Sorry I bought the box set of all 8 books. Wound up skimming through them for interesting parts because I hated to completely waste my money.
Towards the end the story was becoming predictable. Rather like the perils of Pauline, from one incident to another with much familiar material filling in the pages between. I also disliked seeing gratuitous sex scenes included with no real need to advance the story. So much started with uniqueness, but too quickly became habitual. Much promise, however.
These books are very clever, the vision of the future always changing. The bad guys are easy to dislike, the good guys are extremely likable. I highly recommend the series to anyone with an interest in the paranormal.
