Oh my! What did Violet and her family get themselves into in this final installment? Fighting the Creator and Father of her and Mischief! Discovering more siblings along the way! At one point Violet loses the one true entity she had relied upon for her entire existence and that is when she became the God she was supposed to be! As her cohorts will learn, you are never alone in a battle, much less a war! It will take just about everything they have in them to stop and defeat the newest and most powerful entity they have run across yet! Can they do it? Who will die? What relationships will survive and perish? Who are the new family members? Are they trustworthy? Rosemary Johns proves you can still dig deep enough to give a series the finale it deserves – this one goes out with a BANG! It will be the kind we all love and root for! She has given her all in the Rebel Angel books and it is a shame to see these chapters come to an end! Action packed, snarkiness, love, tragedy and sacrifice are still in play of a large magnitude in this book! You will LOVE the ending! I received this book for free and am leaving a voluntary review.

I received an arc of this book and am willingly leaving a review.
I have read the four previous books and absolutely lived them! This was no different. Awesome characters with settings that your mind had no problem conjuring up.
Violet and her FAM of supernatural misfits were still super engaging, easy to love and totally family oriented. The love, and extent that they went through for each other is just extraordinary! I love it!!!
I'm sad for this to end but have not been left hanging from the ending. Now I can't wait for this new world of Werewolves that's to come!

ONE REMARKABLE ADVENTURE!!!
HOLY CRAP! Talk about bringing the house down. Rosemary doesn't miss a beat. She rules this bad boy from start to finish with one thrilling storyline and explosive plot bringing this baby roaring to life spectacularly. She pulls us into her imagination and weaves a world around us until everything else ceases to exist. She has totally rocked this entire series with her on point realism that demands our respect and we give it freely. The plethora of emotions that run throughout can bring you to your knees one second and strong as steel the next. You feel everything the characters feel. They're complex, believable and so realistic you feel like you can reach out and touch them. In a world where chaos reigns and your back against the wall you work with what you have while everything continues to crumble around you. The trials and tribulations explode with all the drama, uncertainty, danger and suspense keep that you on a razors edge and total focus on the pages as the tale unfolds. Twixted and twinned and put through the wringer bringing this nerve racking, nailbiting, hard hitting, page turning thriller together flawlessly. The scenes are so vividly detailed you have no trouble picturing each one as they play off one another beautifully. Rosemary stepped up the game with her insight, creativity and endless talents. She is definitely becoming a force to be reckoned with. Remarkable job Rosemary, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Violet is in the world of Seraphim and she has a few huge tasks ahead of her. She needs to take the test by monster, which no one other than Fae has ever survived. She also needs to take care of her father. Everything is a game to him and he's hurt her family and others for far too long and he must be stopped.

Violet has come a long way in her journey. She's less impulsive this time, she thinks about her actions and the repercussions. She is also so much more careful with her family, making sure they are being taken care of and that she isn't asking them to do anything they wouldn't want to do.

There were moments in Vampire God that I was worried either Violet or one of her family members came too close to the edge. The punishments that they had to endure were sometimes life-threatening and I found myself on the edge of my seat, hoping with all hope they would survive. There were so many secrets revealed in this one that I can't share because I don't want to spoil it, but let's just say that Violet learns there's so much more to herself than she ever realized.

John's has even made me a fan of some characters I never really liked one way or the other in the past, such as Lucifer. The way Violet felt for him was palpable, and that in turn made me softer towards him. This has been such a fun series, it's been amazing watching Violet grow through all of the challenges she's been presented or landed herself into. A fabulous way to end the series.

I will say right away there will be no spoilers of any kind on this book. This is the 5th and final book in this series. And this by far is the best book I have ever read!!!! The author put everything into this final book. I am pretty good at guessing what will happen in books. But in no way was I prepared for this book. It was just unbelievable. If you are lucky you will find that one author, who no matter what they write the book is amazing. And Rosemary Johns is that author for me. Violet and her fam are in for the fight of their lives. Violet has to seduce the Emperor's shifter son. Is he as bad as his father? Next, she has to become a body guard to the Emperor if she fails her vampire/angel lovers will be tossed into the Abyss. Then it finally happens.... all hell breaks loose. Violet meets her creator and omg what she finds out is worse than anything I could imagine. This will be her final battle, this battle may cost Violet her life and the lives of the ones she loves!! Who will live and who will die???? Rosemary Johns finale was out of the world!!!! I do not believe there is another author who could of ended this series in such a way. After you read this book, you will still have it on your mind. Its unforgettable!! I can not imagine a better ending for this amazing series!! If you like bad ass heroines, magic, epic battles this is for you. The characters are one of a kind, just like the worlds Rosemary creates. You will be sucked right into the story. This book was a page turner, on the edge of my seat thrill ride. You will not be able to put this book down. Such an epic ending!!!!

Vampire God is Book 5 and final in the Rebel Angels series by Rosemary A. Johns. This book is phenomenal (Rosemary out does herself with every book she writes) and it wraps up the series in such an awesomely fantastic way. All the books in this series are outstanding but in my opinion this is the best. Violet and her family must endure a lot. Violet is much more cautious when making decisions that relate to her family. Her upmost desire is to keep them together and safe. This is a fast paced, action packed thrill ride with twists/turns you won't see coming. Once started you are pulled into the story and compelled to keep turning pages to the end and what an ending. This is a must read series. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.

The last book in this series & it goes out with a bang. Literally! Violet & her fam end up in the world of Seraphim in book five. This book follows the other four in its plot twists & they dont disappoint. I wont go into detail about what happens. Only to say Violet still has to deal with who to trust, as well as her life & that of her fam's being threatened (including her dad now). This final book ties up a lot of loose ends. Full of love, laughs & the odd loss but above all a fitting end to what has been a joy to read. Loved the whole series & all the characters in them

Violet and her boys are back and this final chapter of their story shows yet again that she will do anything to save her chosen family. She stays wonderfully snarky and refuses to let anything keep her down for long.

The final book in this series had a twist I did not see coming. This has been an epic saga to get Violet where she belongs in the overall scheme of things. And with her fam. I loved the entire series.

Had to force myself through this series. I actually stopped reading book 1 for over a year. I never do that. Only reason I returned to it is because I paid for the whole series and couldn't return it. It was awful but with so very much potential!

Every time I'd start trying to get into it they'd throw in more distrust and loyalty issues. I absolutely understand the kind of traumatic upbringing the MC had which leads to trust issues. But every time you think she may be growing as a person, the author throws in yet another person testing her. Loyalty and family, both bio and chosen, are big themes. But it's hard to track her character development when just about every couple chapters she's meeting someone new (constantly) , has some deep connection to them, then either feels forced to betray them or they betray, or she think they betray, her. Once or even twice in a series this long I'd get. But. Not. Every. Single. Character. And multiple times per book! It's redundant. It also gets so much focus the actual story looses out for it.

Other plot points are significantly under developed and overall it just seems superficial. I can't seem to force myself to invest myself in the MC or really anyone else despite trying very hard.

Generally, I think the focus throughout the series could shift just a little bit, take the character development up a few notches and this story could really be something amazing. Concept is mostly there.

Unfortunately instead it is dry, tedious, anti-spicy (as in nothing at all spicy about the scenes I am sure were meant to be), and makes me really regret my financial and time investments. I don't think I've ever before thought through the whole final book in a series- I could put this down now and not miss anything about it or have any interest in what I don't finish reading. But it's literally the whole finial book. Probably more than that- like the whole dang series.

This review is actually me being generous about it...

Rosemary ended this series on such a great note. I look forward to reading more from her. This final book holds so much information and really helps answer all of the unanswered questions from the first four books. Secrets are revealed, many of them unexpected. Be prepared for some major plot twists that make this last book the best one yet! You begin to realize how many roles each character has to play in order to survive and also how much they are willing to sacrifice for not just Violet, but each other as well. Love is pain. Love is sacrifice. Love is a weapon and can sometimes be a weakness too. The Seraphim believe worship is the only true love, but how can it be if it is forced? How many would turn their backs if given the chance? True love and loyalty cannot be broken or bound. It is given freely and is endless. Violet learns through the love of her fam that she doesn't have to battle her inner monster by herself any longer. Her guys balance her out, allowing her to accept herself as she is but not succumb to the burning powers inside of her. You can be a monster but not monstrous. Absolutely loved this series and its complicated characters! Thank you, Rosemary.
