Autumn and Winter are back along with Meka and Qianna in part two of Rotten Lil Peaches. They are all still trying to secure that bag by any means necessary. They all have their own triumphs and tragedies, but are still searching for love. Meka has her sights set on the bright lights of the club while Qianna is still as lost as ever. Desi has a new man with new problems that will turn their lives upside down. Autumn still wants to escape the hood life for one of the lives in her favorite books. Easier said than done since the hood threatens to swallow her whole and eat her alive. Turn the page on Sa'id Salaam's latest banger. Rotten Lil Peaches 2.
It was sad what happened to Desi. She wasn't the greatest mother but she loved Autumn the best way she knew how. After tragedy struck Autumn realized after living will Tammy and Meka. She really wanted to make something out of herself. Dealing with Tango she thought she didn't have to be out there wilding like her two friends Qianna and Meka. However she still ended up deaing with some foolishness behind him. Tammy don't realize that although Meka is following in her footsteps. Meka is not paying attention to anything except dollar signs. Qianna is a lost cause. This child don't have a clue that she put herself in harms way being loose and is delusional about it. Her life is on a downward spiral. I can not wait to read part three. I want to see how Autumn is going to react to the bombshell that Meka dropped on her.
A coming of age story in the dirty South. I think the author captured the innocence and recklessness that many of the misguided teens experience as the race toward adult i.e. violence, teen pregnancy, murder, mental illness, etc. There was a bit of repetitive language. The majority of the story entailed, the primaries going to the mall, saying "I'm hoping he didn't get me pregnant", and going to the clinic for abortions or STDs. The actual activity happened between these scenes, which occurred in every chapter. Needless to say, there was very little movement. The narrator didn't quite bring the story to life in either book one or two. Despite the few things that didn't work in the story, I am still intrigued. The author had a good storyline idea. In particular, I was intrigued by the story itself to see how things played out. Would Autumn ever speak up? I'll be listening to the next installment to see what's next for these rotten "not so lil" peaches.
I wasn’t sure about my feelings on part 1 until I read part 2. Everything seems very predictable. All of the main guys in the story get killed, the young females get HIV and pass it on to as many men as possible then die, someone is still always at the clinic getting an abortion or test results. The main character Autumn is greedy for money and success with the cost of anyone’s life but her own. Some of the story makes no sense and you kind of have to figure some things out on your own. But I’m still in it for the next book because I have to find out the fate of Autumn, Quianna and Meka.
Meka and Quiana and Winter I mean Autumn are back at it again!
Meka and Quiana and Winter I mean Autumn are back at it again baby! Poor Quiana done caught the deadly is leaving body’s in her trail. Meka done made it to her dream of being just like her mama. I wish Autumn would just tell meka and Tammy that Quiana is dying slowly so she can get a little help and not kill off the whole damn hood with her poison!
Part two picked up were one left off. All three back together. Low key hating. Meka still thinking she's the top betrer than all of them. Quinna still having changed, gotten worst. Autumn/Winter trying to be a friend to both and ready to leave them and the good behind. That ending. Part three oh my.
Sa’id I just love you and I love the fact that I’m at work tried because I have not gotten any sleep you know the sad thing is that the things you write is some poor girls reality while your books r very much so entertaining they make you think and look at life n a different way I appreciate you wit and jokes about your characters
These girls are so stupid. Autumn thinks she's better than them because she doesn't do as they do, but in reality she is. I love it though. Anticipating the finale, I hope it's out tomorrow😁😁😁.
What just happened?! These girls are playing with Fire! I’m soooooooo stunned! Like first cookie now Quiana! Wow! And meka.... she’s a product of her mom and dad! Im hoping Autumn make it out the Hood in one piece but whoa! That cliffhanger left me speechless!
After reading both books I cant wait for book 3. These characters are something else. Had me from the beginning. This is a must tead. Author is very in tuned with the readers. Very interesting and exciting read
These poor girls don't know any better & have no one to teach them. Tammy is ridiculous smoking & dancing with her daughter & now her daughters friend. Tango snitched & was killed for it. Of course that girl slept with him & I think Meka did to.
Autumn Need To Hurry Up And Go To School, Cuz Her So~Friends Are GRIMY AH😩🥺😩 That's Going Make Her Do Something To One If Not 🚫 Both Of Them Heffas And Mess Her Life Up Forever 🤔🤔🤔 Behind Some Coke Heads...Not Worth It 💯🎯💯
I recommend this book to all. From beginning to end Sa'id has you hooked. These girls need some help but where can they get it when all around you is doin foul shit.
Wow! I need part 3 like now! Those girls were a trip and I need to know what's going to happen next! Omg! So much drama and hood rat sh$t going on! Loved it!!
I hope Autumn / Winter make it out the hood. Such a good read, highly impressed. Feenin for part 3 I feel like Ms. Val ( Quianna's mama) waiting for the drop lol
Ok! This book was everything! I thought the first one was good but....all the drama and the foolishness i read, I was just like WOW!!! Part 3!! OH NO YOU DIDN'T MR SALAAM! I NEED PART THREE RIGHT NOW
