Now I may be a little biased given that this wonderful piece of literature was written by my oldest and best friend. This does not however, mean that my review will be biased.... okay.... maybe just a little.
I always adore reading the way that my lovely friend sees the world and reading her poetry about her high school days often leads to a bit of sadness on my part. We had been together pretty much everyday since the age of about two or three and when I moved away and my beautiful shining friend began to feel dull and unloved due to the actions of others I felt as though life had wronged us.
However the trials of our youth has lead to my gorgeous friend finding her creative voice so, I suppose that every grey cloud has a silver lining? This wonderful work has given a voice to the many teenagers who feel as though they don’t belong and they aren’t loved, and can only come as a way to show them that life does eventually get better and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
