I liked the specificity to the Bichon Frise breed, as that's the pup I will be adopting. It's still relevant though the language and style may feel a bit antiquated. However, Richard Beauchamp clearly loves the breed and has dedicated time and efforts putting in considerations like potential health concerns, training tips, and temperament, and history of the breed that gives you insight into the personality and wellbeing of the Bichon specifically. It's an all-ages read, doesn't take itself too seriously while giving you plenty of information to help with your preparation and care of your new Pup. You gain a special appreciation of the beauty and quirkyness of the breed, while underlining our responsibilities as caregivers across the lifespan.
