Our grandson loved looking at all the animals in the various habitats in this book. When his mom, our daughter came to pick him up and we were talking about some of them, she said, "you have all the good books!" I told her this was just another one that she grew up with, didn't she remember looking at it, but she didn't. Guess we'll have to send it home with them next time. 😁 It is a delight to the eyes!
This was a great read, and I actually learned a little bit about habits and the animals that live there that I previously didn't know. Not only that, it was actually really interesting as well. I think this is partly because of the illustrations. Not only did the illustrations show was the different habitats looked like, they also showed pictures of the animals in those habitats. Each time you turned the page, a new habitat was briefly described and the animals of that habitat were described under their picture. I though this was a great way to get the students reading this book interested. They would first see the animal, then read a little bit of information on it. This would be a great book for students in a 3rd to 5th grade science class that are learning about the different habitats and climates all over the world. It will give the students something to look at while they learn the information. I believe this will help the students better understand the material, and it will make the learning process more fun and interactive.
