As a Psychology major, I was so intrigued by this book. I was fascinated by the fact that it was written by a female psychiatrist and it covered the stages of a woman's life and the disorders we can face, as women, at any age. From Depression to Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Bipolar Disorder, and even the different stages of grief. I thought this was such an educational read! I would really recommend it to anyone that has an interest in any of the topics listed above.
I loved this book. Written by a professional in the field talking about women’s mental and physical health and how things like menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause affect women’s mental health. I was surprised by how easy this was for me to read and keep up with, I was concerned the language would be too much.
Anyone interested in mental health or women’s health, even women curious about how their hormones and normal bodily functions effect their mental well-being would find this an informative read.
