Crossing the dense forests in a Himalayan hamlet, Ankita and Sharmi arrive at the old bungalow of Suryanarayan. A Ganesha temple and the forests with a seemingly magical brook uphill, overlook the bungalow and further down, the 'hatishala' (elephant enclosure). Across generations in Suryanarayan's family in the backdrop of their connections with the British rulers during erstwhile imperial rule in India, lies a deep secret that can shake the very foundations of the family's legacy. One individual in the lineage who turned into a patriot and fought the British, had left clues to it and a deeper secret waiting to be unearthed.
And then, a series of deaths through the family's history bear the brunt of a death in the recent times while Ankita and Sharmi enjoy their vacation. Was it a curse? Was it greed for the hidden secrets? Was there an appearance of a mistaken identity, unknown to all waiting to be revealed? Or, was it a living secret waiting for revenge?
Sharmi - a doctor with a keen eye for details - with the help of Ankita, a lawyer and black belt with the energy of a steed, have to find out for the love of a new found friend. Unravelling the secrets and getting to the root of the death, with a string of challenges comprising enemies, beasts and relationships; builds up this gripping narrative.
