From my husbands photography book collection. Despite being battered and with no dust cover, I noticed this is actually signed by Parkinson in 1983 when this was published. Given he spanned from the 30s through to the 80s, it’s a good visual survey of a period of such huge change. Little essays recalling shoots full of of the time details I enjoyed, calling up London modeling academies in the 50s to review the latest young ladies. Oh Parks do go to Sri Lanka and photograph these swimsuits…
