"Transparent stories of both life's sober and glorious seasons!"  ~Kim Hyland, author of An Imperfect Woman and Founder of The Winsome Retreat

"An incredible poignant book!"  ~Jennifer Hand, Coming Alive Ministries, author of Coming Alive at The Cross

How does one's faith survive in the face of cancer or abandonment of community?

How does your soul recover after living on the prodigal path to finally see what God sees and allow grace to find you? How does one's faith continue past the hard surrenders and the letting go's that just might kill you, to find God's strength inside?

Through poignant storytelling, Tammy and Amy share their personal struggles in a journey that will lift your eyes toward God's ever-abiding presence. They remember parts of their stories while pulling out your own. Each chapter will guide you in remembrance to believe the God who not only created each season, but also walks you through them.

A God of All Seasons reminds us that God is with us in every season of our life. Autumn, just as autumn leaves let go, is the time of letting go, perhaps even painfully. Winter is the time of darkness, as the authors say, “Winter can be unpleasant, but it can also be refining.” Spring is the time of awakening, hope and promise. Summer is the time of rest and leisure.

The book, divided into the four seasons, begins each chapter with a Bible verse and ends with questions for personal reflection.

I like how the authors, Amy Breitmann and Tammy “T. H.” Meyers, alternate their stories in each chapter. They share the Biblical lessons they have learned in their lives, along with their conflicts and tough spells, thus making the book come alive for us the readers.

The format of A God of All Seasons lends itself to being ideal for a daily devotional and/or a Bible Study.

I received this book from Celebrate Lit and the authors. However, I was under no obligation to write a review.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is such a great devotional book to read. I read a chapter each day as I would s devotional and here was always something that spoelke to my heart in each chapter. I love the way it is separated into the four seasons, with each sections devotional to that particular season. The authors do a wonderful job of writing this book, making it very clear and easy to understand. This I like very much when reading a non fiction book.

The stories Tammy Meyer and Amy Breitmann share are sweet, refreshing and I could really relate to so many of them. I loved reading this down to earth little book and I very highly recommend this to every woman to read!

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher, AND Celebration Lit Tours for me to read. I was not required to write a review. The words and opinions in this review are mine, and mine only.

We all go through seasons in life. Sometimes we see growth in our walk with God and sometimes it seems we are waiting or that life gets dry and mundane.
This book is a wonderful collection by the authors sharing through stories in the seasons of life. Spring, Fall, Winter and Summer.
There is something in this book for everyone.

Blessings,
Karen

This was a blessing to read, encouraging to a person at every season in life. I think the Book Blurb sum it up nicely.

"What if your spiritual life landed in the grip of a wintered soul? How does one's faith survive?

Discover the beauty and challenge of spiritual seasons as Tammy & Amy remember parts of their stories in order to draw out your own. A God of All Seasons speaks to the heart when the soul feels gripped by the tendrils of an icy winter or lumbers to recover from a long spiritual reprieve as if returning from a summer sabbatical.

Through powerful and poignant storytelling, Amy and Tammy guide you on a journey that will lift your eyes toward God's ever-abiding presence through each season’s challenge. Discover hidden gifts of comforting grace and the sweetness of mercy as you meditate on a God who:

*gives you a new name
*never forsakes you
*delivers you
*redeems you
*rescues you from the pit

Learn to perceive God's companionship even when you don’t sense His nearness. And unearth, not only a God who created the seasons, but one who also walks with you through them."
