This is a fantastic book detailing life as a paratrooper in the Pacific during WW2.
It is a well-written, first hand account from a former Angel of the 11th Airborne Division.

It follows the group from training in the US through their service on Leyte, Luzon, Manila and more; and includes details of individual heroics and personal stories, as well as plenty of battle action. Maps and photos are well placed throughout and add much to the overall quality and impact of the storytelling.

A little on the dry side. However it is extremely detailed on the combat history of the 11th airborne division in WW2.
