Satan's Sinners MC #8

Fate's Falling

Rate this book
First appeared in the Christmas at the Clubhouse Anthology. It has been extended into a full length story.

Rowan
My life was forever changed the night I had a flat tire. Someone who I always believed could be trusted was actually a devil in disguise. I willingly went with him, only to go missing...held captive.
I finally managed to escape and ran for my life, leaving behind sweet little Belle. I am desperate to find her, but to do so, I require help. There is only one place and one person I truly feel safe and free around...Jensen. He is my brother's best friend; however, they aren't friends anymore, they're rivals, and I'm to blame.

Bam Bam
I should have been in that car with her, but a split second decision decided her fate. I've blamed myself all these years for her disappearance, and I believed her to be dead until she fell in my arms, barely recognizable.
I did the right thing for once in my life, taking her back to her family, but who was it right for? I need her, and no one will stand in my way as I get the answers I seek. Not even her brother.

Direct and to the point is exactly why I'm loving Colbie Kay's writing more and more. I'm still quite new to the Satan's Sinners MC series but it's one I know I want to read more of. Fate's Falling starts right off with a bang with the main character, Rowan, being abducted off the street at night when she was trying to change her flat tire. But when it comes to someone you know and respect, having your guard up is not something that is thought of. For ten years Rowan has kept without a single clue as to where she is and everyone back home accepted that she was dead. Out of sheer will and the determination to see her family again, Rowan found a way to escape, unfortunately having to leave others behind but with the promise to return. With fate on her side Rowan managed to get a ride close to her home and found herself at the compound of the Satan's Sinners MC with none other than the boy she always loved to actually find her, the one who never forgot Rowan and always blamed himself for her disappearance. Now with some much needed help and plenty of muscle they are ready to show no mercy and exact revenge to take down this sick ring once and for all.

I love how the history between Rowan and Bam Bam is the glue behind the whole story and there is plenty of flashbacks to how their whole relationship got started. Bam Bam aka Jenson was best friends with Rowan's older brother, Tyler. For years she was nursing a crush but high school is where it fully bloomed. Although Jenson was very popular and a jock, he finally started showing signs of feeling something for Rowan. Tyler noticed too and made it clear she was off limits. The night Rowan was taken, her and Jenson had plans to hangout but once again Tyler intervened, using their friendship as leverage for Jenson to back off. For ten years Jenson never forgot about Rowan even when his life took a turn and ended up joining the MC. And now with her back in his life, I love how he doesn't just take what he wants. Despite believing he's a bad guy, Bam Bam has such a lovely heart and would do anything for Rowan. There really wasn't a lot of action in Fate's Falling but there was still just enough suspense to keep me intrigued, especially when it came to who actually took Rowan. And I'm hoping there's more to come because that ending seemed very open ended. Colbie Kay delivered another great read that's making me love these guys that much more.

I just had too many issues with this book. Major spoilers ahead matey.

After Rowan escapes she hitches a ride back home. She doesn’t go home to her parents though, she scales a fence of the local MC instead. This MC just happens to be the one the H (the boy she was in love with before she got abducted) is a member of, and he’s the one who finds her at the fence.

H takes h to her parents house the next day who don’t believe it’s really her. Her brother is also there and he, now a detective, is even more suspicious along with being a total prick in general. After a week of staying at her parents she still hasn’t told them what happened to her, her brother THE COP doesn’t alert the authorities that she’s been found, and Rowan is pissed because they are “smothering her” because she’s “fine” and “just wants to move on with her life.” She hoofs it over to the MC where they have sex - a week after being a sex slave for 10 YEARS. She’s totally fine with the sex and he raw dogs her with no thought of STD’s or pregnancy.

H takes h to another chapter of the MC and magically the other two women she was imprisoned with have been hiding out there after they escaped too! The three of them decide to tell the MC about what happened to them. H talks h into telling her family and after telling her COP brother it was a COP that abducted her he DOESN’T BELIEVE HER and says he’ll handle it within the department. Say what?

The MC figure out who and where the sex traffickers are and decide to bust up their next auction so they can take it down while rescuing the 8 year old that was also trapped with the h. They kill the people at the auction. H/h return 8 year old to her mom the next day. They tell the mom that they rescued her from a trafficking ring, the mom is like oh ok thank you so much, and they just get in the car and leave. There are no repercussions from the mass murder that the cops will surely connect back to the MC once they discover it as H told the prick cop brother they were going after them too. Bam Bam patches Rowan the end.

There was a raid initiated by her prick cop brother on the MC just to “show her how bad he is” and a cheesy proposal thrown the mix as well but those were sorta afterthoughts for me.

Come onnnnnnnnn.

Rowan Burris had her life turned upside down when she turned 16. She was supposed to meet Jensen to tell him how she felt about him but when he leaves with another girl she is heartbroken but nothing prepares her for what comes next.
Bam Bam’s life has turned upside down since the night he chose Tyler, Rowan’s brother, over Rowan and everyday he is shocked at how his life has changed. He is no longer Jensen and is a member of the MC Saint’s Sinners.
Ten years later Bam Bam is shocked when Rowan lands at his front door and Bam Bam will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. But is her family ready to accept Bam Bam?
This was such a great book and definitely tackles some disturbing issues.
My heart just broke for Rowan when she went to talk to Jensen and then he left with someone else but I didn’t expect what happened with Tyler, Rowan’s brother. I was so proud of Rowan for what she did after meeting Bella and knowing she had to protect her at all costs.
I loved when Jensen (aka Bam Bam) found Rowan and how he knew right away who it was. They both still cared about each other but both had bee through so much.
I hated what happened when Rowan saw her family again and I almost felt like Tyler was hiding something with how he was acting. At first I wondered why Rowan didn’t want the police involved and I loved that I was right!
There was definitely some tense moments and I loved how Rowan was able to find 2 specific people and then how the two MC’s worked together to get someone else!!
The end was awesome and this is the first book I have read in the series but I look forward to more!

This is the eighth book in the Satan’s Sinners MC series by Colbie Kay. I’ve been curious about Bam Bam (Jensen) since he first appeared. I loved the first five books in this series but the last three have just been okay for me. This one similar to the last two played out like a Lifetime movie.

Two things I love about this book. Cover model is Bam Bam and gorgeous plus I think the subject was one that is very relevant now days unfortunately.

What I didn't like was how messed up Rowan was after she escaped and yet, no one interviewed her from police department nor did she need counseling. Really? So having sex with Bam Bam pretty much after her escape was realistic???

I guess it was too short and considering the subject fleshing the story out would be more appropriate.

I think authors cheapen their work by hurrying to crank out books. This did have good potential but if I hadn't read MC books before I would of been put off by this one.
I did like 4 stars the author's rockstar series so she can write.
Sorry, not sorry.

Rowan and Bam Bam have a history that started when they were young and because of his friendship to her brother and that costs Rowan 10 years of her life because she is kidnapped, now 10 years later she shows up and falls into Bam Bams arms , her story is not an easy one and he has blamed himself since she disappeared, now that she is back he will do whatever he can to kill those who took her and free the ones who they still have. When they figure out that another club has 2 girls who were with her in captivity they make a plan . This story broke my heart with what these girls went through but the love Bam Bam and Rowan have made it get out back together

2.5 stars.

A lot was glossed over and for someone who's been held captive, raped and who knows what else for 10 years. It wasn't believable to have her having sex the second day she is with jenson/bam bam. That really didn't work well for me.

Also, wasn't a fan of the very start of the book with the ow nonsense. Otherwise it was an okay read and I finished it pretty quick without having to skim over any parts.

It could've been an epic story about recovery from years of SA as a slave and a captive. About reclaiming love and life.
Instead we get poorly eddited short read with depth of a puddle!
Nothing here is believable, justified by victim psychology research. I've never been assaulted but even my imagination can create a more believable response to it. Here we have almost zero reaction (except for bad dreams) after being kept captive and abused for 10 years. 10!!!
oh! And a week after escape a girl has a joyful sex with her old crush. No hungups whatsoever.

Yeah. Just awful!

(Just to compare: it took Jamie Begley three books (The Last Riders MC: Road to Salvation) to deal with her character's trauma after being kept as a sëx slave for 10 years. The character was struggling for a very long time before could have any $exual contact. See also A Dark and Dirty Sinners MC by Serena Akeroyd for how trauma recovery could be written)
Bad bad writing!

A fantastic read

This was a difficult story to read because of the content, not that it was bad, but because it's devastating knowing that these situations happen every single day. I truly wish that there was a way to completely stop human trafficking, the monsters involved, and be able to keep everyone safe.
Although this story had very difficult situations that were hard to read, it was a great story, and I enjoyed the well deserved HEA.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Excellent book. This story goes into some real heavy duty stuff. Not good at all. Scary but real situations are covered here, then dealt with MC style, swift and deadly

description

Fate’s Falling was a great 5 star read and book eight in the Satan’s Sinners MC series.
All I can say is wow, what a read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We start out with Rowan all excited that she is finally getting her chance with her brothers best friend, Jensen. He has finally come around and agreed to spend time with her after the game. There is a twist that leaves her heartbroken and fleeing to her car. While on the way home she gets a flat tire, when someone stops to help her, things take a scary twist.

We jump ahead 10 years, Rowan finds her way to freedom and of all places she shows up at Bam Bam’s (Jensen) clubhouse. When Bam Bam realizes who she is, he is shocked. For years he has blamed himself for what happened to her and his life has taken a different road than he originally planned he is no longer Jensen. Rowan feels safe with Bam Bam, can they finally have what they missed out on years ago? Can he keep her safe?

There are so many emotional twists with this read. The emotions that Rowan encounters when she returns home really hit me. I felt like I was feeling everything she was. And of course the way her family was when she returned angered me at one point, but yet I kind of understood as well. I loved all of the secondary characters, they added a great element to the story. There are many twist and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read more from this series and Colbie Kay.

Title: Fate's Falling
Author: Colbie Kay
Genre: Contemporary Dramatic MC Romance
Publication Date: 4/5/2019
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
This is an awesome series. The men are alpha MC hotties that may do bad things but aren't bad men. The women who love them are strong with a core of steel wrapped in a velvet glove; They have hearts deeper than the oceans and love stronger than diamonds.

Colbie does a good job of packing emotions into her books. It gives you a quick connection with her characters. You are able to sympathize. In some books Colbie goes into torturous and painful detail but in this book she doesn't and many can be grateful. Triggers are alluded to and even with the small details given please know there is a trigger warning.

I love knowing Bam Bam finally gets his. He needed to remember that you should never say NEVER! LOL. Hanger did an awesome job reminding him of this old adage.

I do have a criticisms. I love Bam and Rowan. Their acceptance of each other and their unwavering love is beautiful. But...the quickness she jumps into bed with him after everything...This isn't just an issue for this book. Many authors do this. With this type of trauma women need to find themselves as women again. I KNOW this. I guess to each their own and healing is different for everyone. Rowan and Bam have known each other since childhood so the comfort is there. I still think it is too fast. Yet their love and devotion shines so bright it truly is beautiful.

I truly love this series. I love the strength of the characters as individuals and the bonds they all create as small and larger groups. Love, loyalty, devotion...promises the Sinners and even the Cobras by extension keep.

Rowan Burris was crushed when the boy she loves left with another girl. She runs away but finds herself caught and held captive. Ten years later she escapes and lands right in the lap of the guy that broke her heart. She still feels for Bam Bam but she feels responsible for the other girls she left in captivity. Bam Bam’s life has changed since Rowan knew him but he is the perfect person to help her.

Since I have been helping share this book for a last month or so I was really excited to see what was going to happen. The blurb had me captivated but the book left me breathless. Rowan’s brother doesn’t want Bam Bam around his sister and does something that breaks them up. Bam Bam became part of a motorcycle club and has changed a lot but still finds he loves Rowan.

As for Rowan, my heart went out to her and the pain of betrayal from Bam Bam. But that was nothing compared to the hell she lived in for ten years. This is a tough topic but Colbie Kay did an amazing job writing it. I loved how Rowan was determined to help the other women.

This is one heck of a ride for a story with twists and turns and a wonderful relationship coming into bloom after such a betrayal. If you like the MC romance story or just want a serious alpha male romance you need to check this book out. Now I’m curious about the other books in this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

Rowan is crushed by Bam when they were younger. She is kidnapped and ten years later, she manages to escape and return to her hometown. She falls right into his lap because she is injured. He has no clue what fate has in store for him. She recovers and quickly realizes that she has always loved him and this time she won’t give up. Rowan heart is broken by the boy she loves she runs off and is trapped by an evil man for 10 years. When she finally escapes her hell she falls back into the arms of the boy who broke her heart. Rowan has been in love with her older brother's best friend, Jensen, since she can remember, and the night she was about to let him know, he took off with another girl, and she disappeared. That night didn't just change her, it changed Jensen & her brother as well, and none of them were ever the same. Jensen joined the Satan's Sinners MC. Many years later, Rowan manages to escape her captivity, and finds herself at Jensen's, aka Bam Bam, clubhouse, and he can't believe his eyes. The girl he never got over, had been found. When he takes her home, nothing is the same, because Jensen & her brother hate each other. However, Rowen feels the safest with Jensen, and he's not letting her go this time when she seeks him out again. Fate's Falling was an edge of your seat story with a big side of angst that had my heart pounding. I don't want to get into many more details, as I already said more than enough, because there are some serious f-bomb worthy twists around every corner. It's a short(ish) story that I really wished were longer, and I really wanted Rowen's brother to have some kind of karma happen to him, because he was a huge douche. Anyway, this definitely was a great story that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Colbie Kay has written another bestselling book. Jenson and Rowan have loved each other since they were young. Jenson was bestfriends with her brother who didn't want him with his sister and does something that will change all their lives. Events outside of their control took her away from him.
His life changes from what it was after she is gone and he becomes badass BamBam. He finds a new life and lifestyle that her family doesn't like.
BamBam is minding his own business when a woman tries to break into the clubhouse gate and he catches her. He can tell she is not doing good. They realize who the other is and are shocked. He is shocked she is alive and she is shocked she found him.
You must read this book. I absolutely couldn't put it down until I finished the entire book. I then read it again to make sure I didn't miss anything but I hadn't. I am always on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book from Colbie Kay to see what else she has in store for us and she didn't disappoint us on this book. I can't wait to see what Colbie Kay has in store for us with the next book in the series.

This story had all the action! When I started the book, I definitely didn’t see it going where it did but I was totally into it. Rowan and Bam Bam were attracted to each other as teens, but Rowan’s brother doesn’t want them together and gives Bam Bam an ultimatum that unknowingly changes the three’s lives with Rowan being kidnapped shortly after. After ten years in captivity, Rowan is able to get away and fate lands her at the MC’s door. Even though that time has passed, once the two recognize each other, the same feelings resurface as before. Throughout the book they work through bringing Rowan’s kidnappers to justice the MC way while her assimilating back into the real world after dealing with what she’d been through. It was a really short read but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

This is the story of Bam Bam and Rowen. This book has become one of my favorite in this series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend you read the series to pick up on all the underlining story arcs & cast of characters.

What would you do if one decision cause the person you lived to live a life of pain & terror? Bam Bam’s life took a turn when he made a decision in his youth that cost Rowen everything. He goes on to join the Satan Sinners MC. Years later he finds Rowen & learns what happened to her on the night his decision changed everything. Can Rowen for give him? Can Bam Bam overcome his guilt of the part he played in her tragedy?

Bam Bam & Rowen’s Story takes you on a journey of what true love can do to a person. How it can tear you apart... and put you back together. I can’t wait for more! ♥️

I first read this book in the Christmas at the Clubhouse Anthology and I loved it then. This version has been extended and I love it just as much, if not a little more! I could not put it down!
Rowan is in love with Bam Bam, she is ready to tell him she wants more than friendship when misunderstandings and kidnapping tears them apart. Fast forward 10 years and we find Rowan running for her life when she quite literally falls into his lap. The connection is still there between them, he is the only one she feels safe with and he is determined that nobody will harm her again.
Can I just say without spoilers.....any body else want to throat punch her brother?!.....just me?!
If you love The Sinners then you will love this book! Buckle up though Buttercups, it's going to get bumpy!!
