Sever the Cycle of Abuse with The Sub Shop Savior, by Dr. Lynette Louise, is the sort of book that, once I began reading it, despite its being divided into a few chapters, I could not put down! The story is so well-written, and Ronan Paris' anime-like illustrations such a perfect complement to it, the combination transports the reader from wherever they are sitting, right into the book beside the characters, experiencing everything right along with them. And, more than being simply a riveting story that ends at the last page, this book is a story that can stay active in the thoughts of readers seeking and choosing their way out of abuses in their own lives.
