La ragione degli altri e una commedia in tre atti, composta da Luigi Pirandello alla fine del 1895, che originariamente aveva il titolo Il nido, poi cambiato in Il nibbio e ancora in quello del romanzo del 1899 Se non cosi [1]. Con quest'ultimo titolo la commedia fu rappresentata per la prima volta dalla Compagnia Stabile milanese di Marco Praga al Teatro Manzoni di Milano il 19 aprile 1915 con protagonista Irma Gramatica. La commedia e stata poi inserita nella raccolta Maschere nude con il titolo La ragione degli altri con il quale e stata successivamente portata sulle scene.

Luigi Pirandello; Agrigento (28 June 1867 – Rome 10 December 1936) was an Italian dramatist, novelist, poet, and short story writer whose greatest contributions were his plays.

He was awarded the 1934 Nobel Prize in Literature for "his bold and ingenious revival of dramatic and scenic art"

Pirandello's works include novels, hundreds of short stories, and about 40 plays, some of which are written in Sicilian. Pirandello's tragic farces are often seen as forerunners of the Theatre of the Absurd.

لم احب هذه كثيراً، فهي من المسرحيات التي لم ترق لي كثيراً تتحدث عن رجل قام بترك زوجته لينجب طفلة من أخرى وتدور الاحداث حول حبه لابنته ومحاولة الجمع بينها وبين زوجته التي كان لها رأي اخر..
