Fifth Flame by Arizona Tape and Laura Greenwood is a slow burn reverse harem paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway.
I absolutely love Arizona and Laura’s books! Their books usually leave me with a smile on my face. I really enjoyed the slow burn relationship between Lola and her four mates. They did a great job wrapping of their story.
Susan did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, reverse harems, or slow burn romances.
I love this trilogy so much. I am just so sad it ended. I've mentioned before somewhere that I'm not really a very sappy individual. I mean I feel sadness, but it's hard to cry over things. This made me want to cry in happiness and cry that it's over!
The characters were still just as amazing as the first two books. A lot of people have book boyfriends. I have a book girlfriend now. Maybe two. Rachel is one of them. Lola is pretty amazing too. They are just both strong women who are talented and loyal!
As with the first two, the narrator did a fantastic job. As I haven't listened to her do other audiobooks, I'm unsure if it's because I loved this trilogy so much or if she's super talented. I am willing to bet she's super talented.
I am back on the thinking that these three books could have been combined into one. There wasn't really a tournament in this one. I really enjoyed all three of them though. I found them all amazing. I didn't want to stop reading about Rachel and Lola and everybody else!
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
We catch back up with Lola and her group just as things are starting to settle down for them. Unfortunately this means they now have to deal with everyone thinking their bond is wrong so they have to go out of their way to prove their love to the world. This causes a few bumps in the road of course though I have to say they manage to handle it all beautifully. Great conclusion for this group that wraps things up well though I would not say no to short epilogue novella in the future at some point. Great for fans of dragon poly type (we get two girls and three boys in this one though only Lola is the mate for the other four no sharing) relationships. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
This is the last book for Lola and her mates, and WOW, what a beautiful and lovely ending to a wonderful series. This book had a little of everything, emotionally speaking, and I sure felt the full gamut! I would strongly recommend reading the first two Renegade Dragons books so as to fully appreciate the details in this one. And after you've read those (dudes, read them, they rock!) I reeeeeeeaaaallllly recommend this one. I loved seeing the characters from previous Dragon Soul books (again, read those cuz they are awesome and I love them and want everyone else to love them too) make appearances and mingle. And the epilogue was so lovely it made me cry.
Fifth Flame was the perfect meeting of numerous characters from the Twin Soul Universe. I really enjoyed the emotions displayed whether it was from the funny moments to the more heartfelt ones towards to the end.
I absolutely loved Fifth Flame by Laura Greenwood & Arizona Tape, and it was my favourite of the Renegade Dragons books and I highly recommend the whole series.
I can’t wait to read the next co-write by these two authors, which you get a little sneak peak of Fangs For Nothing at the end. I’m already looking forward to reading this new series.
I think this book might have edged book 2 in my fav of the series. I really enjoyed the ceremony of Martin's sister and her mate and how Lola was there for them, could have coach them through the struggles of being different than the normal 3 bonded mates. I really really enjoyed Martin's story later into this books. I could imagine the art in my head and I loved how he revealed them. I loved Lola telling it like it is and getting some of the grumbly dragons in line so her whole family (blood, bonded, and friends) could enjoy some fun times together. I did laugh more in this book but there was one scene that to me was a little overdone and I kinda sped up the audiobook because of the whininess got a little extreme in some cases. It was during the wine tasting and when everyone was getting smashed. I enjoyed it but like I said, I think it was a little too long/much at some points. My only other complaint which kept it from be a 5 star is there were feelings/sentiments that made it felt like a broken record. We understand Rachel being treated different, but you are destined to be mates, she should be treated the same, you still love her, etc. Lola did a lot of repeat inner monologues that weren't all necessary. The reader got the point and it was really an editing thing where they should have just trimmed it down (not get rid of because its an important message, just again was overdone).
For the narration, I thought again Susan did a good job. I like her small changes with the various female friends of Lola. I loved her random drunk noises/low notes haha. Also how she did the toothpaste part. She actually recreated it from what I could hear, or pretended to, and it made it so real in my headset I snorted in the office during my lunch break haha. I thought it was solid, but again sometimes Lola was too whiny, not sure if that was because of the writing or narration, but I think Susan could have toned it down a bit.
Again, not my favorite series of these authors but I loved the lightheartedness and refreshing nerdy references and jokes. I loved their relationships, even if we were denied anything more than a kiss. Some questions were never answered (like if Rachel was part air dragon) that kinda annoys me, but not enough to lower the rating. The epilogue was everything though!! So adorable. Good series by Laura and Arizona ❤️
I really wanted to love this series, because I love the premise and dragons, but it just never got there for me. Honestly, if I wasn't listening to the audio version while multi-tasking, I probably wouldn't have finished the series. And I wouldn't say it is bad, but it's just...ok.
There is absolutely zero steam, even though the first book makes you think that there will be some eventually. And most of the series' plot is just about getting drunk. I'm not big on drinking, but I have read other series where the FMC drinks heavily and still enjoyed it. However, I think in this case it is just so much of the story and the FMC acts like such an idiot when she drinks that it eventually got on my nerves. I think it was about mid-way through book two that I kinda got fed up with that plot element.
Once again, I give the narrator 4/5. I am in the US, so UK narrators aren't always easy to understand, but Susan does a great job! She's pleasant to listen to and easy to understand. I also feel like she brings this socially awkward character and her fellow characters to life well. I'd definitely listen to her again!

A paranormal reverse harem set in the Twin Souls Universe FULL SERIES: Book 1: Fifth Soul Book 2: Fifth Round Book 3: Fifth Flame
Wow... this was excellent This is book 3 in this series and looks like the last for Lola and her Mates. I felt very sad reading the last words. Such a wonderful story of Lola. I loved seeing some of the previous characters back in this one. Such an emotional read. I loved the whole series and the outcome just hate seeing the end of the series is all. Recommend reading this one and the previous two!!!

I loved the book Fifth Flame which I read as part of Renegade Dragons: The Complete Trilogy by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape includes the following three books: Fifth Soul, Fifth Round, and Fifth Flame. This three book series is about a dragon named Lola who meets her dragon mates in the first book Fifth Soul, goes to a major gaming competition in Spain with all of her mates in Fifth Round, and in the third book in the series Fifth Flame, Lola fights to have her and her mates unique mating be accepted by the members of the fire dragons. This series is a wonderful three books that have an important moral to teach that everyone is not the same and that everyone should have the right to be who they are and love who they want. I loved reading every book in this series. They made for a sweet uplifting read that anyone who enjoys a reverse harem romance will love. Fifth Flame is a wonderful reverse harem romance.
After reading some of the reviews.. I am confused. It was just OK. Honestly, I probably would have not finished, but they were short.
What the books lacked were character development, plot... well... just about everything that would make a great book.
It really shouldn't have been labeled as a reverse harem. Yes, she ended up bonded to 3 males, but they seemed more background to her relationship with her gal roommate who she discovered she was also bonded to. But even with her girlfriend, she didn't come close to anything I would call romance.
There was a lot of computer gaming... I mean a lot.... and each book had quite extensive overindulgence in alcohol and the consequence of a morning after hangover.
The only good thing about the series was there was no sex. I believe this is the first reverse harem series that didn't have any.
Lola and her mates have returned home, and are seeking acceptance from their peers. One of Martin's fathers looks down on Rachel - he doesnt understand that she is a part of their family too. I loved this story - have loved the series, and think it's awesome the way that Tate, JJ, Marcus, Ayra and other characters from The Twin Souls trilogy have been brought into it - Awesome to see a hea ending for these beautiful souls!

This is a bittersweet feeling for me as I wanted to see how Lola and her mates' story ended, but at the same time I didn't want their story to end.
I remember wanted Tate and Lola to finally meet, so I was beyond thrilled when you incorporated not only the twin souls main characters into the story, but also the dragon soul characters into it, well mostly JJ since she is close friends with Lola and Tate and Holly was briefly mentioned and not her mate Tamsin.
This was a great conclusion to the series, and Lola makes somes surprising dicoveries. Lola throws herself into getting acceptance for all the 'different' families in the dragon community, of course this plan originates over a great deal of alcohol, and needs Rachel to see it to fruition! There were a lot of parts in this book that had me laughing out loud, it was a lot of fun to listen to, amd I'm sad to see the end of the series.
I really love these Laura Greenwood books they are my not-so-guilty pleasure. The books are fun, a little over the top, and perfectly paced for the length of the book. I would have liked it more if they were combined together instead of 3 shorter books, which would give the characters more opportunity to develop, but they aren't bad for being shorter books.
Just like the other books in this series, it was so good. Lola and her four dragon mates are at it with their families and having fun parties with other types of dragons and even vampires. Lola finally got the baby bug. What a great way to finish this book off in this series.

This is the final book in the Renegade Dragons series and I am sad to see the end of Lola and her mates. I really enjoyed that I got to see many of the characters from the Twin Soul Universe, it made things so much more enjoyable for me as I love intertwined stories.

Fifth Flame by Laura Greenwood is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number three in this wonderful series and I have loved reading this story very much. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading reverse harem and about dragons in their stories.

This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

I loved this book, an apt finish to this series. I found myself attached to all these girls and guys. I felt their joy, happiness and the personal torment in the case of 3 of the extended family. After reading this you will feel happy. Recommended.
Absolutely love this series. And I truly appreciate that the ending didnt just give me a this moment and done feeling, that we get to see a tad further into their happiness.

They know their bond is unbreakable but now they are home can they prove it to everyone else. It will not be easy but their bond is too strong to be broken by anyone. See if they can

It was nice conclusion to this trilogy. I loved to see how much they all supported one another and how much energy Lola is putting in making it clear she care for each of them and what they love to do. Support is a key word here.
This is final story in the Renegade Dragons series. I can honestly say I have come to love these characters and the end of this book bought tears to my eyes. What an amazing ending, amazing story and strong characters just made this series perfect.
I enjoyed the end of this series. Lola and her mates have their happy little world finally at their fingertips. Lola may be the center of their universe, but Rachel is the heart. I do love how they all are extremely protective of each other and if you hurt one you will definitely have five coming after you. I am looking forward to more from the Dragon Souls series. So many stories, so little time. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
I really enjoyed this series. It was lighthearted and didn't leave you hanging. It is fast-paced and funny. There are some truly dumb moments that make you laugh.
Although it's sad that this is the last book for Lola and her dragon mates, the ending was perfect. Loved the strong bond between Lola and her dragons and how protective they are for each other. If you have read the first two books then you know this story is about Lola, a dragon shifter, who has three fated mates and her best friend Rachel who is considered an outcast and can't mate. This is a quick, entertaining, steamy reverse harem story and I am looking forward to reading whatever this amazing author duo come up with next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
