Man Overboard: Captain Fizz and the Treasure Bizz
What kind of a guy would jump out of a perfectly good airplane with a parachute? Answer...the same kind of guy who would jump overboard and submerge himself beneath the water in order to breathe compressed-air out of a metal tank when there's perfectly good air to breathe on the surface!
Such is the character of Captain Fizz. He's done both...and in between...he just happened to have been a Fire Fighter...one who puts his life on the line everyday when he goes to work in the event that someone's going to need a cool head in a hot situation.
Just such a thing happened one day when Captain Fizz and his younger partner responded to a fire at a boarding-house in Sarasota. When first assessing the situation, it looked as if everyone was safe and accounted for. But then, Captain Fizz...aka...Carl Fismer...found out that there was a young child who was not accounted for. He and his partner disappeared into the smoke and chaos of the situation. Carl returned with the young child in one arm while dragging his partner out of harms way with the other arm.
You probably won't hear him tell that story...but inside the covers of this book you will hear him tell stories of humor, daring, corruption and deceit; stories of the "treasure business" as seen through the eyes of a "treasure hunter"...told with his unique, entertaining and engaging style.
