In my review of this book I will.... (you'll get the joke if you've read it)

This collection of essays (I hesitate to call it an anthology because it is an incredibly disjointed and lobbed together mess) was demeaning and mansplaining while saying nothing at all.

I have worked in nonprofit healthcare, mostly in admin and primarily in IT departments, for nearly 20 years (god help me). I was looking forward to hearing from experts in my chosen field for new and fresh ideas. Instead, I was called a millennial for daring to request basic access to my own health care records. I heard from vendors I've used (in THINLY veiled product descriptions and sales speak) that described their products as helpful and innovative...... sure jan. Many of the sections I kid you not, start with "In this essay I will...", which speaks to so little editing and such a cash grab effort that I stopped reading. I skimmed from pages 98-321 to find any semblance of something that would be useful. Regretfully not. I will allow 2 stars because if you need a introduction into current state healthcare IT it might actually help, but if you have any kind of experience you will not glean any new ideas from it.
