One night Casey has an extraordinary idea. When his parents are asleep he goes into the garden, peels back the lawn and begins to dig...
And what happens next will delight children and adults alike.
The Hole in Casey s Garden is an imaginative wonderland.
Children will love to explore the incredible and fantastic world that Casey builds in the hole in his garden. And this is one book that parents won t mind reading again and again and again.
The book also contains a bonus Every one of the beautiful painted illustrations features Casey s puppy and kitten, hiding somewhere within the story. Can you find them on every page?
The Hole in Casey s Garden is the result of a collaboration between bestselling British thriller author Gregg Dunnett, and his two children Alba (6) and Rafa (4). The illustrations are painted by Gill Guile, who has written or illustrated over five hundred children s books.
Casey lived in an average house & neighborhood. 1 day he got a brilliant idea. His parents & sister were all doing stuff, so he snuck out of the house. He started digging up the yard & then covered it all back up. It was late at night, so he quit & snuck back inside. Mom wondered why there were dirt tracks in the house & dad was puzzled there was a mound of dirt by the garden. Monday-Saturday he did the same thing. Dad just thought it was moles.
Casey had built a swimming pool & then a fancy waterslide. Next came an adventure playground, & a life size Tyrannosaurus Rex. He got his friends to help. Guess what they built? But then something else happened.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s suspense book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s suspense dog movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Have just read this to my 4 year old Granddaughter and her 2 year old brother. Both sat enthralled as I read on.... Lots of humour & laughs (mum in the bath, only a child sees that has being hillarious), the disaster and the awesome ending. It lead to great discussions about their garden. Hmmm.... maybe it's time I made a sharp exit; hope Dads shed is locked, there maybe a surprise in store tomorrow morning. My Grandchildren said the story was great, amazing and a thumbs up!

My grandson loved this story and I did, too. The illustrations were exceptional and the author made this imaginative story very entertaining. I learned from an incident when my son was young that boys love to dig holes, so I'll warn my grandson's mother to keep the shovels well-hidden. Fortunately she doesn't have a cat door!
This is a wonderful little adventure book written by someone who definitely has a wonderful imagination. The wonderful and highly colored pictures add to the charm of this book. I found myself wish the place really want existed and that I was Casey's friend.
Bought this book for a new baby on the way from his/her Great Auntie! I loved that it was was co-written by Alba and Rafa! What a great imaginative story and beautiful illustrations! The baby will CERTAINLY love it!
Kids will love this clever, creative, fun, imaginative story. A little boy decides to dig a hole in his yard. All kinds of wonderful things end up in the hole. Until, one day, disaster strikes. Children will enjoy the fun twist at the end. The illustrations are fabulous!
I would highly recommend this book! Beautiful illustrations and charming story for my grandkids to enjoy! I only with it would've gone on a bit longer.
