This serves as a very visual introduction to retaining walls and why you will pay so much to have one built OR why it will take so long to do it yourself, if it's a smaller project.

Very much appreciate all the pictures. This book is not enough information to built your own wall, but it will tell you what you need to find out locally and explore with the manufacturing instructions of whatever system you choose. It will get you going in the main direction.

Read this, as I bought a house last year with a failing retaining wall at the back of the yard. This was a very practical exploration for me.
