I have recently joined FewGoodReads and before that, I followed their reviews for a long time. Kumar L was mentioned in multiple book posts in the past by Vishnu. His book series Captain Anara made me look for his other books. So when Vishnu offered me < > for the review, I simply grabbed the opportunity. Light in size and language it gave company to beginners like me.

Till now I have read very few books. None of them was short stories collection. Longer books and multiple characters demand efforts from the reader and as I said earlier I am new so short stories gave me warm feelings, like they knew I need to take small steps at a time. I can read these stories without much stress, as each of them is independent. They say your first-time experience is always memorable. So was the case with me in short stories. This will book keep in mind for years to come.

Good points about the book
1) Very light read. Just 50-60 pages
2) Easy language usage
3) Good for beginners

Deceptions of Tomorrow is a very enjoyable and fast paced read. It's an anthology of science fiction short stories, lending itself well for those weeks when you're spread too thin and only have snippets of time available for reading. There are several futuristic robotic tales here that are reminiscent of Asimov. These stories utilize that master's robotic laws while shedding light on the "what if" scenarios the laws didn't plan for. I enjoyed these stories, but to be honest, it was the last two stories that brought it home for me and pulled the rating up to 5 stars. "Enigma" and "End of Time" were especially well done and were my personal favorites. If you like classic Sci-Fi stories, give Deceptions of Time a read. I think you'll enjoy it.

Book Title: Deceptions of Tomorrow: Electrifying Tales of Science Fiction: Robots, Black Holes & Time Travel
Author: Kumar L
Format: Kindle

Book Title: The title of the book ' Deceptions of Tomorrow: Electrifying Tales of Science Fiction: Robots, Black Holes & Time Travel ' is very elaborative and self-explanatory.

Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is a click in rustic color with numbers and scale engraved that depict hours and minutes with a lightning spark that explains the wonders or the dark side of scientific advancements in the human world.

Inside the book:
The book is a collection of eleven stories which range from AI,  Black holes,  robots and their advent on human life to some thesis that was taught in ancient Indian stories now here are presented with concepts of aliens and time travel. Every story here is a face of mystery, thrill, interest, and enthusiasm.

What I like:
1. The narration of the concepts of black holes and aliens
2. The language used which is, though scientific and technical is also easy to understand.

My Final Verdict: A very fine and interesting read.

I became Mr. Kumar's fan since I read his book Earth to Centuari :Alien Hunt.
.
This book contains 11 short stories -
Iron Heart, To Steal A star, Grandfather's Paradox, Twist.Break.Throw, The Exchange, Alexia's Revenge, The Tourists, First Born, Invaders, Enigma & End of Time.
...
Each story gives a new insight into the amazing world of science fiction. The author has a unique way of storytelling. His comprehensive knowledge of Space Science is commendable. I loved "To Steal A Star" and "End of Time" the most. It took me a little over two hours to finish all the stories.

Deceptions of Tomorrow : Electrifying Tales of Science Fiction by L. Kumar, is a wonderful collection consisting of eleven stories. The stories mainly covers Black Holes, Robots, Artificial Intelligence and so on. From the narration of each story the author seem quite knowledgeable. He tells us how amazing is the world of science. My top favourites among the eleven are Alexia's Revenge, End of Time and To Steal A Star. Moreover, the book is only of 58 pages you needn't sit for hours to complete it. Thus, in my opinion, a little bit of time for a gripping read is worth investing on.

🌻Deceptions Of Tomorrow By Kumar. L
🌻Genre: Sci-fi
.
Introduction: Electrifying tales of science fiction! Human rights for robots! Time travel chaos! Black holes at the centre of our galaxy! Mind opening possibilities of science and the future. .
My Opinion: I am in love with this genre, I have read many book by Kumar.L & he is so good at explaning hard concepts with easy ways, specifically time travel. The way he describes everything is so engaging. I have read his short stories, ' 8 Down' which was amazing, so without hesitating I picked this book which consists of short stories, stories which are different, unique & really very short. Each story is just two or three pages long, also the book overall is short- one sitting read. Deceptions Of Tomorrow deals with different topics regarding future & physics along with alot of imagination which is purely obtained from author's studies, experiences & research. I am eagerly waiting to read more such books from him. Taking about the cover, it's okayish but definitely it could be more better.
.
Pros: The book is short & gives an exact idea of things which we never thought of. The author is really good at keeping his point as an opinion & not trying to force it on readers. The book takes to different aspects of the universe & proves that the world is far more big than we think. Each & every story is unique. The book is lot of informative so I specifically recommend it to students & curious peoples. I loved it.
.
Cons: Well, not to expect many fun moments because the book is more on the informative side, the book is creative but expecting more creativity the next time. The author has alot of potential & as a reader I could sense it. Well, it's a worthy read requires patience.

••••BOOK REVIEW••••
Deceptions of Tomorrow By Kumar L.

A collection of 11 short stories, but not a regular tale...these are the tales about black holes, artificial intelligence, galaxy etc.

This is the third book which I have read by Kumar L. and i have to say he made me fall in love with science fiction. The conviction he have for scientific aspects is really commendable. He always gives a fresher outlook to the scientific world.

This book is small but well edited. Language used is pretty lucid and simple. As for a science fiction and the comprehension of intricate words, the explanation is pretty easy to grab.

For a short story book, it is necessary to have a hold over the narration part, which this book did. The narration is crisp and bang on. You will love the thrill and the flow.

This book is knowledgeable, full of facts ..which is very interesting. I loved reading about fascinating black holes, galaxies and robots. Author talked about the rights of robots and artificial intelligence which was intriguing as well.

Though all the 11 stories were great but Alexia's Revenge, End of Time ,To Steal A Star and Grandfather's paradox are my top favorites.

The book filled with facts and knowledge, intriguing, and gripping, on point narration. It is a one sitting short read which took only 1 hour for me to finish and had a great impact over me!

Deceptions of Tomorrow: Electrifying Tales of Science Fiction: Robots, Black Holes & Time Travel by Kumar L is collection of 11 short stories.

Reading back to back books of Kumar L has made me a fan of science fictions.

Grandfather's paradox is shortest of all the 11 stories and is also my favourite.
Other stories also have various aspects of future science such as robots and black holes and galaxies.
The book also talks about the rights of robots and artifical intelligence through its stories.

Overall these stories are humorous and knowledgeable and also interesting to read.

Narration is quite gripping with language being simple and easy to understand.
The book is properly edited as well.

Stories such as End of Time will make you re-think and also Alexia's Revenge where a robot is under the scanner of law and rights.

Author has created these gem of 11 stories which should be read definitely, and I am just loving this genre of science fiction because of Kumar L.

This book consists of 11 short sci-fi stories to take you into 11 new worlds of imagination and make you understand how vast and infinite science is.

This is best book to pick up for reading if you have never read sci-fi and planning to start reading it as it is not thick book which revolves around only one topic, but a thin book with a lot of short stories on different topics.

My favorite among these stories is "Grandfather's Paradox"

This Paradox goes like this - If one goes back in time and kills his own grandfather, then he would not be born. And if has never born then how can he go back in time and kill his own grandfather ?

narrator wanted to know how this works and decides to go back back in time and kill his own grandfather and he does that.
Read the book to know what happens after that. Isn't this interesting ?

That's not it, there are ten more stories like this where with eye-catching titles.

This book is worth a try.

This book is my very first read from this genre and believe me I was so stunned till the very end.

So the book I am going to talk about today is "Deceptions of Tomorrow: Electrifying Tales of Science Fiction: Robots, Black Holes & Time Travel" by Kumar l.

The book comprises of 11 short stories. These stories are all based on Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), black holes and time travel.
I was introduced to Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics by way of this book. Many of the stories in this book are based on the Three Laws.
So what are the stories in the book all about? They range from topics as diverse as the thief who steals a star, a robot couple who long for their own child, a time travel zealot who decides to travel back in time to kill his grandfathers in order to solve the time travel paradox and a fun excursion to a black hole that goes wrong.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these science fiction stories and that too from an Indian author. You do not have to be a lover of science fiction to enjoy this book. No reader will be bored reading this book. I recommend this book as interesting and convenient to carry along on a journey.

These science fiction short stories are a pleasure to read. Most are very short, a perfect read when you only have a few minutes. Their subject matter runs the gamut from robots to time travel to black holes. My personal favorites were the ones that raised the question of when does a robot become “human” in the legal and emotional sense of the word. Some of those that I really liked are “Iron Heart,” “Alexia’s Revenge,” and “First Born.”

Some stories in this collection also reflect what is going on today. “Invaders” is about two competing groups of aliens fighting to take over Earth, and when I read what some of the humans say at the end, I couldn’t help but compare it to places like Syria. “Enigma” deals with privacy concerns in a really disconcerting way.

All in all, if you enjoy science fiction and short stories, give this one a try.

Book consist of Eleven electrifying tales of science fiction. Tales are about Paradox theory, three laws of robotics, time travel chaos, visiting to black holes, robot family, interplanetary wars, travel to future upto the end etc. All stories are very short & engaging. It's a quick read. You can finish it in one sitting.

If it become possible to travel through time, what will be the result? Will we be able to change the past?
As 'Artificial intelligence' evolve with time, will we face a robot revolution? What about the rights of robots & other 'Artificial intelligence'which human create in the future? Do they deserve, and should they be eligible for the same rights as humans?
