Star-crossed lovers collide in Viktoriia Vent’s dark fantasy romance.

The Saint Grail has rejected Kiara. Despite her parents’ hopes, she is not Elias’s prophesied protector, and her coming-of-age adventure seems over. Even worse, Kiara’s father, King Jheret, now lacks the powerful human weapon he needs to defend his kingdom against its ancient foe.

But if Kiara is not the savior, she must marry. For her husband, Jheret chooses a brash young man named Kollen. As she gets to know Kollen, Kiara’s initial distaste turns into attraction. Then she meets Prince Derek and immediately loses her heart.

Derek, the proud, handsome son of Elias’s deadliest enemy, is preparing for war. His task is to uncover the realm's weaknesses, but he doesn’t count on discovering a weakness in himself: his heart.

In this, the first in an interdimensional epic trilogy, young royals must balance duty and love to navigate a love triangle—or risk the destruction of all worlds, known and unknown.

This novel pulled me in right away and kept my eyes glued to the page! It has all my favorite tropes: arranged marriage, chosen-one, enemies to lovers, royalty... It was a very enjoyable read that had me feeling completely satisfied at the end.

The story follows Kiara, a beautiful and loving princess, loved by all, who to her father's dismay was not the chosen one as predicted by the prophecy. She feels the king distance himself from her as his disappointment is clear, she was not to be the savior of her kingdom. He forces her hand on an arranged marriage, to the very rude lord Kollen who bumped into her, she wants nothing to do with him. I loved the bickering between these two characters, it was fun to watch Kollen try to win the princess back after ruining her first impression of him.

The story picks up speed as soon as Derek and his cunning sister Nora, appear. They are in disguise, the poor Kiara and her father have no idea they have lured the enemy right into their very palace. What Derek was not expecting, was to fall head over heels with Kiara. Thus a love-triangle begins, and who will get the girl?

The characters are one of the elements I loved of this novel, they are all super fun and intriguing! Their development is great, including the side characters like Emmett and Sprout, I loved reading about them. The world building was a bit hard to grasp at first, specially the magic behind the portals between worlds, however as the story progresses it becomes clearer. The romance and chemistry between Derek and Kiara was breathtaking, and I found myself giggling and blushing like a little girl who was smitten. I love it when I fall for these bad boys alongside the main character.

I am anxious for the next book in the series! I have grown fond of these characters and I want to read more about them!

The Chosen One to Reign is the first book in a fantasy series, and I found it irresistible ever since reading the synopsis. I am an avid reader of fantasy, and some of its tropes can get me excited like none other. Do books have royals? I want them. Do they have prophecies? I want them. Do they have enemies to lovers? I want them. Do they have an arranged marriage? I want them.

This book has them all, and for their sake, I battled the infamous love triangle trope and came out of this book pleasantly surprised.

The characters and their complex relationships were definitely my favorite part of the book. We follow a young princess named Kiara (that’s my name! *fangirl moment on*), who we find out early on in the book is not the Chosen One who will save her kingdom from destruction and war, as the prophecy predicts, and because of this must marry when she comes of age. Kiara was a great protagonist with whom I often felt a kinship. I especially appreciated her affection for animals and loved her flying horse, Pegasus!

The two other ends of our love triangle are Kollen, the man her father has chosen for her, and Derek, the man who pretends to hail from a destroyed village and who, in reality, is the prince of a rivaling kingdom. Despite not being a fan of love triangles, I really enjoyed reading this one. Both Derek and Kollen have strong personalities, and I loved their banter with Kiara. Do I have a favorite? Of course I do. But I’m not divulging because you need to make up your own minds *insert evil laugh here*

The fast pace of the story, the complex family relationships and the great chemistry within the romance made this book incredibly enjoyable. I would have liked a bit more world-building and explanation of the magic, but I’m sure we will get a lot more of that in the next books. Overall, it was a great first book, and I’m excited to see what else this series holds for us. I definitely recommend it to YA fantasy lovers who are fans of the tropes I mentioned above.

Somebody hold me, my heart is bleeding. My feels are all over the place.

The Chosen One to Reign is the first book in The Kingdom of Another World series. It holds many of the elements I adore in a fantasy: royals, magic, multiple worlds and romance. And not just any romance. It’s an enemies-to-lovers romance. *tries not to squeal* *fails*

The story mainly follows Kiara, the princess of Elias, but we also get scenes set in the past starring her mother, Queen Aurra. Both have complicated dynamics with the men surrounding them. Both women are the center of a love triangle and, while I usually don’t like this trope, I really enjoyed the ones here, especially the little bits we get to see of the one concerning Queen Aurra. My poor heart felt for her and…I won’t say. You’ll have to read to find out.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know my favorite aspect of a book is the romance and the one in this book was done very well. Kiara is the center of a love triangle between the man she’s supposed to marry, Kollen, and the mysterious stranger who saves her from a terrifying creature, Derek. While I found Kollen and his friend to be mildly annoying for my tastes, I loved Derek. It’s immediately evident there is more to him than the village boy he says he is, and indeed there is: he is the prince of Sarius, the enemy kingdom/parallel dimension hell bent on conquering the kingdom of Elias. Derek has a duty to his people, but the more he gets to know Kiara, the more he struggles to remain objective to his cause. It made for such an interesting character! And I lived for his interactions with Kiara. There was so much chemistry.

The character dynamics between Kiara and her two father figures, her actual father, King Jheret, and his best friend and commander of his army, Sprout, were also well done. At the death of Queen Aurra, the king withdraws and estranges himself from his daughter. It’s his friend, Sprout, who basically raises Kiara. There was so much love, conflict and regret between Kiara and her father, and so much tenderness and understanding with Sprout. I loved!

I did struggle to grasp the nature of Kiara’s power, but I think we’ll get to understand it more as the story progresses in the next book. I loved the ending and I’m excited to read the sequel!

I enjoyed this book. I hardly ever read arranged marriage plots but lately I've ran into some really good ones! There were great aspects of the story, the pacing was luring, and one of my favorite tropes was in there! Enemies to lovers...

The unraveling of the story is about a young princess named Kiara, she is forced into an arranged marriage due to the circumstances seen in the prophecies. Her father, the king, was sure the savior of the kingdom would be Kiara, but unfortunately to Kiara's demise... life had another destiny for her. In order to save her kingdom her father marries her to this awful (not so awful) Lord Kollen. The relationship starts of as a battlefield and being at eachother's throats... which honestly I am here for! I love enemies to lovers! (did I mention that already? teehee)

One thing that I was a bit apprehensive about was the love triangle, it's not my favorite trope. But overall it was depicted well in the story. The character development was pretty impressive, Kiara learns to fall in love and fight for what she believes in. The side characters perfectly complimented this story, Emmett and Sprout made the journey enjoyable!

The world building was a bit confusing in the beginning but as the story took life, it became clearer to me. I think my favorite part of it all was the romance in the book. I love when characters bicker at each other, it only makes it more enjoyable to see their relationship and dynamic grow.

Thanks so much to the author for introducing me to her world! I am excited for what's to come for this series!

After reading the author's bio I'm going to go out on a limb and guess this book was originally written in another language and translated. The dialog lacks fluidity, like a poor translation. I really wanted to love this story. It sound very interesting and I like the spunk of the princess but it was painful to read.

An amazing new magical world

I love Derek so much, he's definitely my favorite in this story.
And this world is full of magic, Viktoriia created a beautiful and exciting world 😊
These characters are complex but reliable. Those parts from the past that complete the story in the present are so precious and helpful and gave us the background we need to understand certain events.
The writing style is super fluid and full with little hints. I completely fell in love with Derek, but also love Kollen. And Kiara is a very strong female character that doesn't change what she believes for anyone.
Nora is absolutely cruel and crazy and Sprout just wants Kiara to be happy. And those mythical creatures, they're so precious...
Can't wait for the next book 😊 and hope to see more of Darius and the Seths

The story is about the princess of Elias, Kiara, who's in the prophecy will be the protector of the kingdom, but the The Saint Grail rejected her and if she is not the savior she must marry the one her father, King Jheret, choose for her. Despite of her disapproval, she accepted her fate as a part of the royal family obligations, until she meets Derek, the Prince of their kingdom deadliest enemy. As their two worlds collide, what will be the choice of these two young royals, their duty for the sake of their own kingdom or what each of their heart trully desires?

This is a story not just about love, the author give emphasis about the truth of life, that as a person we are not only experiencing happy moments but also failures, fears and loss, choosing between to be kind or evil, to be fair or unjust, being cruel or merciful, loyalty or betrayals, being love or hate at all. The choice is always on us. And that is also what I love in this story.

I really enjoyed reading this book and get excited to know what is instore in every chapter and how the each of the characters give importance in the story.

Thank you so much to the author for this amazing story, I'm so excited for the next series.

Summary: As a royal, Princess Kiara has always rebelled against the duties forced upon her and seeks to live life by her own rules, that is, a life of peace and harmony with everyone and everything, and to love who she chooses. She, however, is seemingly destined to repeat the same fate as her mother, and marry, out of duty, one who is considered a smart choice for her as heir to the throne. This battle between the desires of her heart and the desires of the kingdom further develops when she, again, out of duty, must use her magical gift to save the world, yet still, lose the one she loves.

Short review: This was a wonderfully-written story of the battle between love and duty.

Long review: Now, this is my kind of fantasy! I literally did not want to put down this book. It was such a well-developed plot with a great storyline that there wasn’t a dull moment as I read through. I had no unanswered questions; every point that I noted/queried while reading was answered by the end. I even had to break and take a sip of water at different points in the plot. I needed a moment LOL. It was just a beautiful symphony of words and expressions, and I just fell in love with the writing.

What I liked:
1. The scenes were so well-described that I could see them unfolding in front of me like a movie. I could see the magic and the power emanating from the protagonist; I could see the beauty of the environment; and I could see the death and destruction caused by the search for power and greed.
2. The underlying theme of loss (of loved ones) was very well used throughout the novel. It served as a bond; but on the other hand, it also served as a great divider.
3. The writing was beautiful.

What I didn’t like:
1. There were grammatical errors…more than a few. This is a bit distracting for me. But the story was so good that I looked past them.

I am definitely looking forward to Book 2.

This is young adult novel has all the ingredients needed for one to want a sequel, so I'm so glad this is a triology!  The story is quick paced, characters are loveable and if you like plot twists, love triangles and struggles between good and evil, then this is the book for you! I am not the biggest fan of fantasy but this book had just enough to keep it interesting!

Quick summary:
The city of Elias is in danger and the fate of its inhabitants and their survival is in the hands of Princess Kiara.
Kiara, a rebellious teen, is dealing with choosing between 2 potential lovers, her father's overprotectiveness and pressure to save her kindgdom.

I'm looking forward to learning what's going to happen next in book 2.
I am also interested in a prequel of some sort as Sprout seems like a very interesting character.

Woaww just woaw.. ♡
Reading this book I realized that hatred can turn into love. I loved Kiara the princess of Elias, with Derek and Kolle. She had good chemistry with Derek and Kolle, love to hate, and arranged marriage.
You can never know when love comes, you can soften your heart, get rid of hatred and give up your “world” just for love just like Derek did .
Kiara is a very strong female character that doesn’t change what she believes for anyone. I would love to live in the world of this book,I want to enjoy the world of Kiara. The person that I loved the most was Sprout. The person who wanted and did everything for Kiara to be happy was Sprout.
But for Nora?! What I can actually say, I “Hated” her because she was absolutely crazy.
I can’t wait until I start the book two of “The kingdom of another world “. I don’t want Kiars’s story to end,and I definitely recommend this book to all of you,it’s just AMAZING.

I loved the writing here, getting to know the story from every point of view is just amazing and it’s my type of book. Knowledge of past and present is given due respect and the story becomes very clear at every point and aspect. Princess Kiara of ELIAS is a kind and humble soul and in order to protect her World, she must marry. If she would have been chosen by Saint Grail then the story could have been something else, but in current scenario she fights to prove herself to her father, who thinks she’s careless.
As story goes forward she faces dilemma in choosing heart or mind. Kollen is chosen by her father and Derek is the one who flutters her stomach every time she sees him.
Lets see how she fares.

From the very first sentence of this book I was drawn into an absolutely magical story. The world building in this book is beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the characters, even the baddies, which I can only attribute to great writing.

What I didn't enjoy though was how fast-paced it was. I don't know if it needed more chapters or something else but I found myself confused during some parts of the climax. I also wasn't a fan of how there were often POVs for different characters within one page. It felt weird to know what two different characters were genuinely thinking or feeling within one paragraph.

Take that for what you wish but it didn't take away from how much I liked the story.
