About the author

Zenora Knight believes characters tell their own stories and her role as a novelist is to provide a platform for them to speak and share their lives. She is very passionate about writing and she is not afraid to allow her characters to have complete freedom of speech, giving her readers a front row seat.

Although Zenora was born in Newark, New Jersey, she was raised in Chase City, Virginia and Westchester County, New York. She is proud of her southern roots which she feels has influenced her life in a positive way.

She graduated from Virginia State University with a B.A. in Sociology. She lived in Georgia and Germany before returning to Westchester County, where she currently resides.

After 30 years of service as a Senior Caseworker for the Westchester County Department of Social Services and Westchester County Health Department, she feels it’s time to say goodbye (not retire) and transition to a new career as a writer. She proudly presents her first published novel, “The Curse of the Bailey Women” and is currently working on her second novel, “Dirty Hands.”

She welcomes communication from her readers.

Excellent story-kept me totally interested from the first page. Wonderful author! Has everything you would want all rolled into one great story. Love, hate, suspense, surprises, violence and sorrow. All in all a compelling read. A definite plus from Goodreads.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it within 24 hours, it grabbed me from the start and didn't let go until the last page. The woman in this book have so much heartbreak in their lives that they believe is a curse. This is such a heartbreakingly beautiful read about the Bailey curse. I can't wait to read more from this author!

Ms. Zenora Knight has outdone herself in this rollercoaster ride of a novel. Her writing excites readers with all of the unexpected twists and turns. Life is no joke for the Bailey women but is it really "the curse"? Enjoy reading this book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This was an AMAZING READ!! I honestly don’t read too many books for pleasure but couldn’t put this one down. I became invested in each character and really felt like I knew them. I was entertained from start to finish. I would give 10 stars if I could.
