Based on the title and picture on the book cover I was expecting a book that would draw parallels between farming and faith. Instead it started off explaining that he hated farming so much that it drove him to the priesthood. It was unsettling.
After the first few chapters, it does get better. There were insights into various topics, such as prayer and grieving. I particularly liked the chapters towards the end of the book that explained the work of the Oblates and told the story of Our Lady of the Snows, which I haven't heard before even though I've been to the Basilica of St. Mary Major.
