Great for reference, learning phrases and reading stories
This book contains three books in one: (1) a reference guide covering what you’d expect in a comprehensive guide to language basics - pronunciation, pronoun use, verb conjugations, vocabulary, numbers, time, adjectives, etc. (2) a book containing 9 stories, giving a learner some practical experience in understanding real use of the language with both the specific translations and comprehension questions and answers; and (3) a complete phrase book grouped by activities such as eating, traveling, shopping, hotel accommodations, etc.
Compared to other Spanish learning books I’ve used, this set is less useful for self learning (e.g. no answer guide for the exercises included) but it is excellent as a reference. I found the short stories most helpful to help me learn Spanish. Also I recommend that you buy the printed version as it isn’t practical to use an ebook for lookup or discovery of useful content. It also lacks any audible tools that are essential for any serious language learner. NOTE - I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for a review.
