Tamia Mason, a devout Christian and schoolteacher, led a simple life until she met Maurice ‘Moe’ Sanders at her family’s annual block party. Thrust into the excitement of a newfound love, Tamia finds herself making decisions she never thought she would make. As she grapples with the weight of her choices, Moe tries hard to maintain her presence in his life while keeping secrets that later devastate their relationship. From the pressure of responsibilities at church to the freedom found in love, Tamia battles her past as she uncovers lies that ultimately shape her future.
Wow, they say, once a good girl is gone she is gone forever! But that's not true, God can change ANYBODY! This was a quick read, but a good read! Taught me a lot about the power of discernment and who I am listening to for advice! Kudos to Kiana!
Tamia was a good Christian Woman until she met Moe. He was nothing more than the devil in sheep’s clothing. All he had to do was be honest and not string Tamia along. Then when his back was up against the wall, he ran like the coward he was. He needs to stay gone after all he put her through. I wonder what lie he is going to conjure up now that he’s back.
This book was a book that God's children experience everyday. As women we don't listen to our gut feeling at times. A man comes in and says all the right things and we call for it every time. But thank the Lord He forgives us and His unconditional love supports. Loved book 1 now on to book 2.
This was my first time reading a book by this author. I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job with connecting with the reader from the beginning and keeping you wanting more. I think this would be a great book for discussion. I look forward to reading more from this author.
The storyline is good, however the timelines don't add up. Also the first time we heard of the unprotected sex was the night before the meeting with Pastor Hartwell. Then as an after thought at the hospital we heard about it.
Wow. I hated how Moe played her in the end. Smh. But even still somehow I saw it coming. Well written although at times I wanted Tamia to beast up from being so sensitive. I truly enjoyed this read and need to read Part 2.
First read by this author and I truly enjoyed following Tamia on her journey even though I could see she was heading in a bad direction. Ready to read part 2.
