FILM SUPERLIST (1950-1959) contains over 27,000 film and television copyright entries; more than 10,000 were not renewed. It shows all the copyright registrations published by the Copyright Office for that 10-year period, with copyright owner, registration date and number. Other information includes production company, distribution company, and whether the movie is based on a literary source. There is an index of copyright owners and original authors. Each entry shows whether or not the copyright was renewed, giving the renewal date and renewal registration number for those films renewed. It has about 100 Copyright Office Search Reports confirming non-renewal of the most important films that have entered the U.S. public domain.
