True love is put to the ultimate test. Till death us do part just got real. The run down neighborhood looks even worse this rainy Detroit evening. When Sandra’s car suddenly breaks down it’s like a terrible joke. Especially since her eight-year-old son is also in the car. The fact that a notorious biker club is housed just across the street wouldn’t normally improve on the situation. But this time it’s different. Suddenly he stands there. Same old boots but the biker vest is new. It’s many years since they split, but Trace looks himself. Almost. His eyes are deeper, darker. No fine lines or gray. It’s as if age and time never bothered with him. He’s a handsome man with a luscious aura that almost asks to be tasted. She’s spent almost a decade missing him. She still does. Sandra looks like an angel. The flowing blonde hair and cornflower blue eyes make her curvy body look as stunning as ever. He had left because he couldn’t burden her anymore with the weight of his demons. A decision that still haunts him. An instant chill travels through every muscle in his powerful body when he lays eyes on the kid. It’s like looking at a ghost of himself at that age. Why did he ever choose a destructive lifestyle over a woman who could have been his everything? The only woman he has ever loved. Enough is enough. He wants out. Get his life together. A new start. Would she let him? The club prez will certainly not be pleased. Other bikers have died for less. TRUE LOVE IS PUT TO THE ULTIMATE TEST. TILL DEATH US DO PART JUST GOT REAL. ***** All books in the Lonely Rider MC series are stand-alone, steamy hot romance novels with no cheating, no cliff-hangers and HEA.

It’s quite simple actually.
I write hot stories about real men and independent women. And it's no secret; I love bad boys.

Fast-paced, SWOON-WORTHY, sensuous and exciting. The MUST-BUY MC Romance!
There is nothing better on a lazy Sunday afternoon than sitting down with a GREAT read, especially if it is an OUTSTANDING Melissa Devenport MC Romance! “TRACE” is the newest MC romance written by Melissa Devenport. Woven into life through Devenport’s phenomenal writing, the story of Trace and Sandra hit this reader right in the heart. Inherently flawed, Alex McCray, or Trace as he is known in the Serpents and Scythes MC, finds himself in a lifetime commitment with an MC led by a tyrannical lunatic. The last guy who tried to leave the MC was killed, along with his wife and daughter, so Trace stays. However, Trace has a secret that keeps him at constant at risk while concurrently longing for the girl and the life he stupidly walked away from nine years ago. Then fate steps in. Sandra and her eight-year-old son find themselves in a BAD part of town, out of gas and vulnerable. Trace recognized the vehicle and the woman driving it, but he knows he walked away from her once to keep her safe, and there was far more danger now. However, fate steps in again, and in an act of thanks, because that’s the way he’s been raised, the boy, Alex, steps out of the car to thank the man as he finishes pouring gas into his Mom’s vehicle. Trace looks up and sees his mini-me, then in his shock reveals his identity to Sandra. Both Sandra and Trace long to rekindle the incredible love and hunger they had for each other, but Trace has already made a life-long commitment to the MC, and as it stands now, it is too dangerous to act on his need to have a life with Sandy and his son. He can’t . . . can he? Will fate step in with a different plan? “TRACE” will take readers on an incredible ride over a life-threatening precipice as Devenport’s descriptive prose captures their emotions and pulls them into the action as if readers are a part of every decision, every exploit, and every achievement made. I became so invested, I woke up with my Kindle on my chest this morning! “TRACE” is amazing. The story is beyond compelling. The characters are realistically flawed and so dear that rooting for their happy ending feels essential. I voluntarily read a copy of “TRACE” and this is my honest, 5+STAR voluntary review. I STRONGLY Recommend that you purchase your copy of “TRACE” today! Happy pages! 😉

**I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.**

Trace: A Motorcycle Club Romance (Lonely Rider MC Book 5) follows the same premise as the previous book in the series. I liked the romance a little better between Trace and Sandra than the couples in some of the previous books. I like the straight forward romance with an HEA and no cheating.

I believe in the redeeming quality of love. I also like to see people that should be together get together again. I like that Trace stood up and recognized his responsibility and did not abuse Sandra for the time wasted. If Trace’s head had not been firmly lodged in his butt he would have taken Sandra and left.

Sex occurs quickly in the book and is not safe. I like the fact that during the years they were apart both have only had bare sex with each other and not any other partner. Sex is vanilla and there are no kinks or fetishes (other than sex on a couch and Sandra going commando) explored. Trace: A Motorcycle Club Romance is not word porn or spank material neither is it a bodice ripper – seek those elsewhere.

Some decent plot twists with the motorcycle club that I did not guess. Some violence is mentioned but violence is fairly tame. There is a brief torture scene, but Trace is not the torturer.

I am on the author’s ARC team and got an early look at Trace: A Motorcycle Club Romance. I am looking forward to the author’s next book whether she continues the Motorcycle Club Romance series or another book.

Keeps getting better with each book... This is Sandra (Sandy) and Trace (Alex) book.
Trace, as he is known in the MC world was in an earlier book. He has a reputation for being able to trace and find anyone. That's his job in the MC. Ever since he had his life saved by the ex VP's daughter he has been thinking about his life and wanting more. Wishing he had never let his ex girlfriend go when he joined the MC. Wishes he had never joined the MC since the newest President took over. The sorry, drugged up power tripping President. Nobody can ever leave or go against him or he will kill you.
Sandra, nick name given by her ex boyfriend, runs out of gas right near the local MC in a bad part of town. She gets lucky when Trace is the one to find her first. Not wanting her to know it's him he hides his face and changes his voice to tell her to stay in the car and keep it locked while he gets her some gas. When he comes back and fills her car he gets the biggest surprise of his life. They need to talk!!

A good book of going through all of their past and regrets. They need each other but not with the crazy president trying to start a war.

I never expected to love this series so much. I’ve always been kind of…”meh” on MC series: they’re just not a fave of mine. But Melissa Devenport has really opened up this trope for me with her incredibly hot men who all share one fabulously sexy trait—they’re all a lot deeper than they seem on the outside.

Trace is another mind-blowing example of that. To look at him through the world’s eyes, you see a man that doesn’t have that much to offer. He’s just another brother in a bike club with a bad history and an attitude to match. He’ll never be a good catch for any woman who’s looking to have the things that most average women want, like security, stability, a decent home, a place to raise a family, and a man they can hang their trust on. He gave up those possibilities when he chose the club as his family.

He’s certainly not the kind of man a woman like Sandra needs in her life. She’s a strong single mom who has had to struggle every inch for what she’s got for her and her son. It’s been a hard life. Not the one she would have chosen for her boy. But she wouldn’t trade a minute of it because she knows she’s done the absolute best with what she’s had. She’s rock solid and sure of herself. Until everything changes one fateful night when Trace helps her out and she realizes there’s more to this man than meets the eye. Time for some agonizing reappraisal, because Sandra just found out her version of reality may need a little tweaking.

This story is a great mix of emotional issues, romance, and suspense. If you think you’ve got a good handle on things, just wait a minute—take a breath—turn a page, and you’ll discover you don’t know jack. Trace and Sandy’s story is fast-paced and crazy, much like life itself sometimes… But the overwhelming passion they feel for each other just dances across the pages like a drop of oil on a hot skillet. Geez, these two are sweltering together.

Trace: Lonely Rider MC 5
by Melissa Devenport
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trace, aka Alex McCray, left the woman he didn't know he loved, to join up with the MC that he'd been prospecting for. Nine years later, he helps out a stranded motorist that turns out to be the he woman he left, Sandra (Sandy) Johnson. She realized who she was talking to, who was getting gas for her, and knew she had to say something. What does one say after being the loser in the competition of love vs. the MC and nine years of loving and hating the absent father of her beloved son, Alex? When they briefly spoke outside the car, Trace met Alex by accident. So, Sandra knew that she had to explain to Trace about Alex, so she invited him to her house to meet and talk. Trace already knew things had to change, he wanted out of the MC, and now he wanted Sandy back...with his son. Things get exceptionally tense with Trace's bid to get out of the MC unscathed, and keep Sandy and Alex safe. In the meantime Sandra goes back and forth about Trace coming back into their lives. Will Alex be able to accept Trace as part of their lives, or his father? Even though Trace has done some unforgivable things in his life, he's basically a good man who just wants desperately to belong to something or someone. Sandy is a good, loving, and forgiving woman who just wants to be a good mom, but longs for the love of her life, good or bad. All three are ultimately very sympathetic characters. It's the MC, particularly Bone, the MC's 'leader', that's so unbelievably horrifying. Very good read, I love these MC stories and the characters!
I voluntarily read this Advance Readers Copy for an honest review.

I am completely enthralled with the Lonely Rider MC Series. Trace is the latest installment of Ms Devenport's MC creation. Ms Devenport's impressive talent shines throughout this release from the very first page and continues to keep you completely enthralled until the last page. While any of the books in this series can certainly be read individually (standalones), I suggest reading them all. I am an avid reader of romance and MC's are my own guilty pleasure. Who doesn't love a wonderfully written storyline with relatable characters to match? Bad boys... Yes Please! Gorgeous with ruggedness to match their big burly two wheeled selves? Come On! Personally, each time I devour the newest installment of this MC, I somehow manage to become even more impressed. Trace has a complicated lifestyle but he once knew what he wanted, so why did he walk away? Better yet, why can't he forget? Why is she here now? With His Son? The one he didn't know about. There is so much deliciousness in this compelling release as well as drama and danger at every turn. Trust that Trace and Sandra are going to rock your world. Whew!

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Trace in exchange for my honest opinion and I strongly encourage all fans of MC romance books and just amazing overall talent to read this book as well as the Series in its entirety.

Emotional, gripping and hopeful

From the moment I picked this book up Melissa's words made it near impossible to put down. This was a beautiful story about a second chance between two people who were torn apart by a decision that was made by only one. An emotionally gripping read that will pull on heartstrings, but allows there to be a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel.

Alex McCray, Trace, left behind the love of his life, Sandra, nine years earlier to become a member of the Serpents and Scythes MC. Fate steps in and now the past has merged with the present ... but will there be a future. It is obvious that Trace and Sandra have unfinished business between them, and Melissa presents their story with such class and style. Sandra has kept a secret from Trace, one that will dramatically alter his life.

This story was compelling, it had grit and drama that kept the pages constantly turning. It was violent and suspenseful, but it was also romantic and passionate. There are struggles and heartache to deal with, and Trace has problems to solve at the Club. An intense read that will have you completely engrossed. A superb read. This is my favourite of the series so far.

Trace belongs to a ruthless motorcycle club that doesn’t mind even killing its own members without full facts. I don’t see how he could have seriously joined this club but he did.

And Sandra is his long lost love he broke up with her all because of this club. Sandra of course is back in town and runs out of gas in his club’s territory with their eight year old son he knows nothing about. Can you imagine Trace’s surprise when he saw his eight year old self get out of the car. Then he was more than sure he had a son with Sandra.

Sandra let him go once and didn’t fight for him, should she fight for him not cause Trace does not seem happy with club life and he has a dark aura about him.
Now Trace wants to get out of the club and become a family with Sandra and their son, but leaving the club will not be easy and can one even leave the Lonely Rider.
This is a good story about second chances and a secret child.

Great story

This was my first Melissa Davenport read. I have become a quick fan of her writing style.
This was a great second chance story. Two main characters were Trace and Sandra. MD is great at character creation. There was a life long love connection between the two main characters. The storyline was hot, fun to read and memorable. MD's storyline has wonderful sexy very hot bedroom scenes. My only addition is, I would have liked the conversation between the three of them when Alex learned who his father was to be in the book. I actually would have liked to read a bit more of the conversations with Alex and parents in a few places. But all in all, a really great book.

Awesome book as always!!!!

Another great book!!! I believe in Destiny. I believe it was meant Trace and Sandra were meant to meet again. I'm glad sometimes we are given second chances. I have seen in different books that some motorcycle clubs have good and bad brothers. I'm glad there was a great ending!! I don't want to keep going because I could give the story away.
I was glad that Melissa gave me the preveledge to be one of her ARC's. I'm looking forward to the next books!!!! Recommended to read and enjoy and read all of her books. They are great!!!!! She's a great author!!!!!

This is a great MC Second Chance Romance that is well-written, sensuous, passionate, intriguing, has a secret baby and a chance at redemption for the biker. The main characters are developed, the H is all alpha macho male who never stopped loving the h. He left to protect her from his demons. The h is a single mom who also never stopped loving the H. This is their story. I found this to be engaging, entertaining and read it in one sitting. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

MC Love Story

Trace/Alex is at a place in his life that a change is needed. The motorcycle club he belongs to is having internal and external problems. What is he going to do? His decision is more important considering the unexpectedly running into Sandra. The events go in different directions based on which character is the focus. Sandra is living but is she happy, does she have regrets, what does her future hold? By being a strong, focused woman her decisions are sound. Read to find out how Trace and Sandra navigate their challenges.

The fifth book in the series about the Lonely Riders MC club. Standalone reads but still have some update on the previous characters. I like that.
Well written with nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters who develops nicely through the story. Written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters.
A mix of steamy, amazing chemistry, second chance, family issues, past coming back and twists. I liked this couple and hope they can make it work.

Second chances

When we Sandy ran out of gas in front of an MC clubhouse, she was dreading that very moment. That is until Grace knocks on her window. Eight years ago, Trace left to protect Sandy but when he learns he has a son, he needs a way out the MC life. This book is so amazing. I loved reading this book. This was my first but it definitely won't be my last.

Biker, waitress, past & future

He couldn't believe it the only woman he ever truly loved was sitting in a car across the road from him in a dead car! She knew she forgot to get has and was paying for it now! What she didn't expect was seeing the man who had broke her heart nine years ago! Both of them are in for a few surprises, truths and maybe a happy ending?

A pretty good read...

While this particular MC book didn’t grab me like some, it’s still a pretty good read. The storyline is good; the characters are pretty well fleshed out; the plot twists and turns are pretty darn good. The HEA is good, too. Give it a read...

Lovely

A love that has transcended the reckless decisions made by a man running from his destiny and the gentle woman who gives him more chances than he deserves and a child he has known nothing about.

Trace Is Another MC Story Keeper

Trace: A Motorcycle Club Romance (Lonely Rider MC)
By Melissa Davenport. 4 Stars

Trace Is another MC story keeper, at least in my collection lol.

Trace and Sandy sure have a rocky past relationship, and you know it's gonna bite one of them in the arse here soon. Ok well maybe years later but still.
He chose the club over her once, will he be able to do it twice...hmmm maybe or maybe not, you'll just have to read this book to find out. I bet you will enjoy it as much as I did.

There's action with twists, turns, and a healthy dose of sexual attraction.

Trace and Sandra is a good love story. I don't think I would give him as many chances as Sandra did though. I was disappointed they didn't tell Alex in the book, they said they were going to but we didn't get to experience it. I felt like we needed one more chapter. HEA Otherwise I enjoyed reading it
