The volume, following the the research of Giovanni Spadolini and Sandro Rogari on the Istituto Alfieri of Florence, collects the correspondence of Emilio Visconti Venosta (1829-1914) in the period in which he was superintendent of that important istitution – from 1898 until his death. The letters, all previously unpublished, recall those exchanged between Adele Alfieri di Sostegno and Pasquale Villari, collected by the same author in volume in 2016.
