Renovating Your Mind: 365 Devotions for Everyday Life
Motivated by a desire to strengthen his family's faith, Patrick Egle decided to share with the members of his family what he had learned from the Bible that day. It was nothing extensive or theologically profound―just a one-paragraph account of how the Lord had spoken to Patrick through His word. It was from sharing that initial paragraph that Renovating Your Mind came to be. This book is a collection of those same morning devotions, journaling an average man's walk with a supernatural God through everyday life situations. These devotions were not written while sitting behind a desk, detached from the realities and struggles of this life. In Renovating Your Mind , experiences are chronicled in detail, challenging readers to alter their thinking that they might be transformed more into the image of Christ by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). These devotions encourage readers to change their perspective from perception to truth. Through the lens of truth, readers will find the freedom and joy that God has abundantly given us through Christ Jesus our Lord. Renovating Your Mind is written by a simple, yet divinely inspired layman; easy to understand for every level and denomination of believer. Resisting the temptation towards elegant theological verbiage meant to impress scholars and dumbfound readers, this devotional instead is approachable yet profound. Whether a brand-new Christian, or a seasoned follower of Christ, Renovating Your Mind is sure to challenge its readers to deeply consider its contents, and to develop further their fellowship with Christ.

Being the author, this might not really be an objective review, but I have to say that even though I have been through this manuscript around a hundred times, my wife and I read this book every day and it is still blessing, challenging, and reminding me of God's amazing truths for our lives today. I give this book 5 stars because I truly believe God is in it and will bless you through it.

Renovating Your Mind by Patrick Egle is a refreshing devotional that challenges and invokes questions that are likely to further the personal and spiritual growth of a believer no matter where in their walk they might be.
There are 365 Deovtionals. It starts from January 1st and goes through to December 31st. The devotionals are not predated with a year so you can pick it up at any time whether that be right now or the start of the 2022 year.
There are no chapters or an index just a forward and endnotes ( references are listed). Each devotional starts with no title but just a date, inspired Bible verse, and the reading so you won't have any idea of what it is about till you read it. Note there aren't questions at all at the end like some devotional books but the reading certainly does prompt them.
The readings aren't difficult to comprehend. There are quotes and much scripture but not without down-to-earth relatable conversations that all point to the God of Heaven,
The devotions take roughly five minutes to read and are good for either the very new believer or even a well-seasoned one. I feel these are great for solo but also group or family reading together.
I've only read through a few of the devotionals and I'm completely invested in reading the rest of this book. I found myself saying yes me too or I also did exactly that and felt the same way. I feel encouraged, challenged to grow, and refreshed from just the few I have read.
I highly recommend giving this book a checkout!

Patrick Egle is a California writer who published his first devotional last year. He’s another Instagram friend who asked me to review his book since we write on similar topics of transforming your thought life.
Patrick’s love for the Lord, enthusiasm for Christian living, and joyful spirit is evident in this year-long devotional. Each devotion takes maybe 5 minutes to read, which is convenient for busy people. He shares many stories from his marriage and church, which I found engaging. I read through the January devotions and appreciated his biblical knowledge and hope-filled words.
I enjoyed reading this devotional as a Christian woman. But I think it would be most appreciated by a young husband trying to live a godly life, or a new male believer looking to get his thought life on a God-pleasing track. No matter what, you’ll find Patrick’s writing voice to be uplifting and encouraging.
I received a preview copy of Renovating Your Mind from the author.

Patrick Eagle's Renovating your mind is a fantastic devotional that will inspire and guide you in your walk with Jesus. Filled with personal stories of every day life and bigger events and bible lessons throughout. Each day starts with a verse and then expands on it. I found it to be very convicting as well. We should also be in a state of transformation, or renovation. Always striving to be more like Jesus and grow closer to Him. Each daily dated devotion is a quick read but it stays with you all day. It will inspire you to grow your relationship with God and His word. Thank you to the publisher for my free copy.
