Rate this book
Brody “Rage” Jameson has only ever loved one woman. He never thought he would ever leave her side once he finally made it home. After spending three glorious nights in her arms, his world shattered and he had to leave her. He was always planning on coming back for her once he had everything sorted, only he returned to find her living with another man and pregnant. With his soul ripped out and his world spiraling, he sank all his anger into the Devils Arms MC. For years he was content to be a part of the MC. Now she’s walked back into his town and his life. From the moment he first lays eyes on her he knows damned well he won’t walk away a second time. Zoey was about to find out she’s always belonged to him, and a devil never makes a mistake twice.

Zoey Fredricks thought she’d found the love of her life at sixteen. Two years later he went off to the Army. She waited on him to come back for six years. Three nights of bliss was all she got before he disappeared on her again, leaving her pregnant and alone. Her heart in shambles from the accusations he threw at her when he finally decided to show his face left her lost and confused. Now five years later she was coming back to her hometown to start again. It was a hard choice, but she’d do anything for her son, even if it meant she had to face his father.

Wasn't a fan of the so-called hero. Or the predictable as fuck storyline.

I dnf because life is too short and there are many motorcycle club book authors.

I did not like Rage. I hated his rage. I liked that Zoey stood up for herself after having a "monster" mother. But I'd had enough when he comes back into her bed after she drank too much and then says "no" when she asked him to use condom. He did but his temper tantrum at that point.....argh.

And for no build up over the horrific injury to Bullet....I hadn't seen any more club business build up so I gave up!!!!!

Not going to recommend.

PS. Cover model was hot and what drew me in. That temper was just too much.

A Sexy Sweet and Heart Touching

If you like a hero with a rugged, bad boy exterior with a loyal and devoted heart, you will love Rage! He will melt your heart. Zoey overcomes a lot and become a woman strong enough to build the life she deserves. Loved going on a journey with these two.

Brody and Zoey met & dated in high school, until he joined the military and got deployed. Then they were LDR for six years while he was deployed. The story begins when he has returned from deployment, and they move in together in her mother's little mother-in-law suite. He only stays for 3 days, then he leaves in the middle of the night while she's sleeping because "shit hit the fan." We're not told what that means. He just leaves her a note saying, "I don't know how long it will take or when I'll be back, but if you need me, you can leave a message with Tasha at the bar." How long WHAT will take? We don't know.

So for some reason he expects her to just wait around, and he doesn't consider them broken up. She does consider them broken up. She makes no effort to talk to him. Until she figures out she's pregnant. It turns out, she and Tasha knew each other in high school and Tasha was a Mean Girl. Which Brody knew about. So he trusted an untrustworthy person to be Zoey's only means of contacting him. Ok, I hate that trope.

Of course Tasha never passes on the messages. (Predictable.) In the meantime, Brody joined the MC that goes to that same bar. Eventually, one of the other MC brothers mentions that the woman in Brody's wallet photo is same woman who has come into the bar asking Tasha to pass on a message. So Brody goes to Zoey's house to find what Zoe wanted to tell him.

But by this time, Zoey's mom kicked her out for getting pregnant, and Zoey is crashing at the apartment of her gay best friend Max. Brody doesn't know Max is gay. When he finds Zoey and discovers she's pregnant, he assumes Max is the dad, and that Zoey "cheated on him" and she's a "slut" (because remember, stupid Brody thought they were still together). He gets mad and just leaves her standing there.

With the way he reacted, Zoey thinks he doesn't want the baby. (She thinks he already knew about the pregnancy and that he was the dad, because she had eventually told Tasha.) Max was planning to move to Las Vegas when his lease was up, and Zoey decides to go with him.

Brody and Zoey don't see each other for another 4 years. They are now 30 years old. Then her parents die in a car wreck and she inherits their house. She decides going back home to raise her son in a small town is better than raising him in Las Vegas. (Personally, I think the Vegas suburb of Henderson is very nice, but whatever.) Gay best friend Max decides to give up his entire livelihood in Vegas and move back to the hometown with Zoey, so now they are just two unemployed people, yet jobs are never discussed.

Brody's now the President of his MC. He can't get over Zoey. He still thinks the baby is Max's, but he doesn't care. He finds out she's back in town, and walks up to her and the kid in the park one day. The kid recognizes him as his Dad, because he's seen pictures of him. That's when Brody figures out the kid is his.

He very easily gets Zoey to agree to let him move in with her and her "boyfriend" Max. She's such a doormat, it's ridiculous.

Brody thinks he can break up her and Max if he lives there. She tells Brody they can co-parent, but that she will never get back together with him. She goes on a date and of course he shows up to ruin the date. (Predictable romance novel trope.) So far Brody is not giving her a reason to get back together. He's done absolutely nothing to convince her, at all. But he ruins her date, like that's going to work. He thinks she's being stubborn, but really, he's not giving her any reason to change her mind. Like, literally nothing is happening.

Also, her nickname for her is "Sweet Girl," which is just annoying.

Then she gets drunk one night when the kid is at a friend's house. Brody climbs into bed and she wakes up kissing him thinking it's a sex dream. That's romantic. Not.

Wow

It was so reading about Rage Zoey. This book has a great story, hot bikers, sassy kids, strong women, funny tales, hot sex and just the right bit of sadness. Overall it was a great read. But make sure you read book 1 first. Congrats to Michelle for a great start to a new series. This is not the only series I have read from this author. The others are fantastic too.

read books one and two of this series back to back and didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as the first. it is still a good read but it just didn't work for me - i didn't particularly like either character and so couldn't get as easily involved in their story

A great love story.

This was a great book, touching life story. Great characters, showing you can't judge someone from a certain stereo type.

Nope!

Too much $$ for what I got! Story was awful & so was the writing.
It was so choppy & there were holes in the story. Not believable at all!
I want my money back!

Second chance

I liked this second chance story. Stupid man let anger keep him away from his woman. Then he realised he did only lose his woman but his son.

It was an okay story, but I couldn't get into it to read each word, and at the end, I didn't care if they got together or not.
