Ask the Family Doctor by Robert D. Lesslie, MD and Robert Alexander, MD is a book of simple, practical solutions for issues that come up in a family. While not a substitution for a doctor’s visit, this book is a great starting point, a resource for family’s as they navigate their children’s health. I think the doctors strike a good balance and give information that makes sense. I would recommend this book to families. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

The authors seems to think they are the end all be all in medical care. In multiple chapters the reader is advised to go with what the book says and argue, possibly switch providers if your or your child's doctor doesn't agree. Nevermind that medicine is forever evolving and your providers knows the particulars of your child's health.
