The Popol Wuj is a sacred text of pre-Columbian origin often referred to as the Mayan Bible. Ricardo Falla, SJ, Jesuit priest and renowned scholar, makes the Popol Wuj accessible to non-specialists through exegesis of key sections and commentary informed by his many years spent among the K'iche' people in Guatemala. This is an excellent introduction for anyone interested in indigenous culture in Mesoamérica. Recommended for students of religious studies, anthropology, and history.
