HumanAlien

Rate this book
HumanAlien is a young adult fiction tetralogy that invites you into the life of Vic, a half human half alien that explores life, feelings, Earth and the Universe. Take her hand, follow her path of healing and get ready to question everything you ever knew, starting with a heartbreak.. "While most stories start with the beginning, mine begins with the end. The end, when my breath is stuck in my throat and I drown and burn up in flames. The major heartbreak, that’s what they call it. I feel surrounded by darkness and the sound of shattering hearts. How can a story that starts with the end ever turn into something good?"...Excerpt from "I have never read a book quite like HumanAlien. Told through a series of what feel like personal reflections—but somehow manage to be more intimate than journal entries—the emotion in HumanAlien is so raw! I’m finding myself reliving some of my most regrettable failed relationships, my heart breaking for the girl I was and the thousands of others who have had to and will endure the same. It’s like poetry mixed with philosophy and fantasy, and I don’t even know how that would work, but it sort of does!" by Jessica Willis. (Amazon)**"It goes through hills and valleys of being introspective and philosophical to being super topical and journal- entry like. It's fascinating." by Koshiz (Twitter)**"Honestly, the way this book describes mental health is like you are watching yourself inside out on the pages. Eerie but captivating." by Natalia Martinez (GoodReads)** "do not be surprised if this becomes one of the most important books of our time. It's beautiful but the message is where the real power of this book resides. Please read it... do it for your soul." Katie B. (Twitter)

I would like to thank the author for sending me the physical copy of her book. I appreciate this so much.

You can't really tell what this book is like from it's title. Reading the title human alien, you might think this is about humans and aliens but no it's not that at all. This is the good thing about the title of this book that it makes you think deeply. And that's exactly the whole book does. Makes think about anything and everything so deeply.

This book is a mixture of spirituality, personal story, experience and the author feeling different from normal. Some how we all try to fit into this wide world with such diversity everywhere.

I personally felt like a human alien so many times in my life. Still do most of the times. But what does this mean? Who or what is a human alien. You gotta read this book to find out the answer. I loved how the author has divided this book into 4 phases of perhaps her life?. It's still kind of a mystery. Like there are questions, so many questions asked by the author that makes you think... The writing style was so unique and all those raw emotions oozing out of every damn chapter... ahh...

But there was one negative point I felt that I need to highlight here to be honest. The book was too long and kind of elongated. I completely understand the author's need to write about her personal journey and make humanity think about everything in this world. It's just at some point I got exhausted while reading and I wanted it to end already.

When I finally reached the ending, I was literally so emotional and I was like what was that what happened and the mystery continues but somehow it is the end.
I have never read something like this. To be able to tell such a personal story and yet maintain the mystery within the mystery...do you get what I mean? I hope you do

I received this book as a giveaway on Twitter. I was not asked to give a review but I am choosing to leave one. I have not ever read a book put together quite like this before. A journey of life through different metamorphosis's and the ending left me in tears. It speaks to that part of us that feels as if we have failed. The author has a way of putting her thoughts into words that make you think different about the world around you. I read the paper back and have given her a five stars. I look forward to see what she writes next. Thank you Vika for bringing forth your perspective.

This book is one of a kind..easy to read but with chapters that make you think a lot..
from heartbreak to empowerment, to bullying or loneliness...all topics are targeted in a fantasy type of writing..
it doesn`t have a happy ending but it make you think what can be done or change to have one..

i truly enjoyed reading this and knowing it`s the first book of this new author makes me want to read more from her..

What to say when a book is able to touch your soul? Vika's book is a journey through an alien entity, but Vic sees the world through a more benevolent, attentive and delicate perspective than most humans do. The aesthetics in this story are pure art, beautiful intricate threads woven into words like frozen dew in a spiderweb. Reading every chapter is like coming in and out of a unique world.
Vika is not only an amazing artist and painter, and a wonderful soul, she is a terrific writer who will teleport you to beautiful sceneries and depths of despair equally depending on the words she's writing. Regardless, let her take the rudder and you won't regret sailing with her into this masterpiece.

At first I actually enjoyed it but at some point the chapters felt like were all the same. Also I couldn’t follow what exactly the storyline was and sometimes it felt like the chapters should seem deep but actually there were just not good written.

The author poured a most precious of her memories, in a heartfelt way.

The book's captivating sceneries are quite imaginative, as pictures keeps on popping in your mind forcing you to stop and to think it over.

Humanalien is four different journeys brilliantly wrapped up
in one book.

The author seems to intentionally drops some lava hot questions preceded by a quote of some most distinguished figures across history of multicultural origins.

Then she starts to bleed her cyphers that's both riddling and thrilling.

Humanalien was served heart-fully unto the the writing community.

Its transformation between four different books represents evolution process of mind, heart and soul, which is necessary for individuals battling their way through life to adapt and survive.

Being said, you won't feel the same way after reading the book, as the author sheds light on some of the most human's intimacies of emotions most people fail to explore rather than express in a literally way.

The mode swings the storyline should give you is pretty remarkable, it's like being exposed to a mixture of honey, rum and coffee in one shot! A chain reaction of emotions but I want you to be certain it should end up in a hangover preceded by euphoric feeling of lightness.

It's also notable that each part starts by referring to the sky's atmosphere and maybe how it affects the scenery.

A must read and probably once finished a must read again to put together all pieces of the puzzle in attempt to see clear through an imagination of Vika, so wild, so free, so enchanting and so true.

This book is amazingly well written, and for a guy with a reading disability this book reads like a charm for me! HumanAlien really touched me and well I'm a big fan of V. There's nothing in this book that I didn't like or what I didn't understand everything is explained in great detail. So I would rate this book 10 stars if I could. Great job Missy!
