I’m glad I own this. The art, of course, is great. I think the text was too distant, like I feel like I don’t know O’Keeffe much better than when I started reading it.

Personally, Georgia O’Keeffe is an artists who represents the image of America in my head. Simple motifs, abstract silhouettes, and soft colors in her masterpieces looks like an emblem of modernism, I thought when I saw her picture first time in New York.

The book draws O’Keeffe’s life and work chronologically, and a lot of direct quotes from O’Keeffe in this book deliver her voice vividly.

The reproductions of O'Keeffe's works are lovely. There are many that I had not seen before, which was fantastic. I loved all of the information and art.
