Very interesting peek into the everyday thoughts of two giants of Swedish art. As they exchange information, you dip into the textual equivalent of their intimately personal painting and drawings, and those beautiful manifestations of Swedish family life come alive before your inner eye. Even the boring letters add to the completeness of their lives in text and art. I had forgotten how much I enjoy reading letters every once in a while. Just like the impressionistic paintings, they evoke a nostalgic feeling of something lost forever, but quite beautiful to have had at one moment in time! A little treasure on my book shelf!
