Gregory Richmond and Stacey Jacobs have been best friends since they were five. The moment that Stacey hit another little boy in their kindergarten class for stealing Gregory’s toy. They have been inseparable ever since. From attending the same college, to opening up a security firm together. They have always had each other’s back and always supported each other. Until now. Stacey has been dating a man that Gregory doesn’t approve of. And when she gets engaged to him, Gregory takes on a long-term protection detail hoping to distance himself from his best friend. And the feelings he’s tried so hard to hide. He isn’t successful. As a matter of fact, an electronic invitation to him from Stacey, informing him of the date of her wedding, sends him racing back to the States to put an end to it. The man Stacey is marrying doesn’t deserve her. She deserves the world. And only Gregory can give that to her. Because Gregory has just discovered that he’s been in love with his best friend forever and he would never let another man take what belonged to him. He loves Stacey and she will be his woman. Even if he has to crash a wedding to prove it to her.
This is the second book I've read by this author and it is worst than the first. The dialogue was cheesy and the flow of the story disjointed. Stacy and Gregory nearly got it on in she and Tommy's home with Tommy there. Stacy keep with the "you left, I will still marry him" line I wanted the story to be over with everytime she said it. And she was clueless that Tommy was seeing his assistant but her WHOLE family knew said nothing to her about it. I try to give a new author I read a chance, even if the first couple of read are not that great.
It started out with tons of potential but began to turn silly. It very hard to believe she was going to marry her childhood bully instead of the love of her life because "she promised." Then her fiance had to be a cheater to make it more palatable for them to break up, even though he was "a great guy" thru out the entire book. Not realistic. But I did like it.
Stacey and Gregory grew up together. Unbeknownst they were both in love with each other but never told each other until Stacey was about to marry someone else. On Staceys’ wedding day finally they got together. Had to skip over the sex scenes because it was a bit graphic for me, but I still enjoyed the story. Finished it in one setting
I was enjoying this story but this square was confusing. There is no reason that these four, Gregory, Stacy, Tommy, and Fiona should have gone through all that they had. I can not wait until Francois and Gaza's story is told. The little introduction to this couple has be intrigued.
This is my 1st by V. Vee. Great friends to lovers story. The H/h chemistry was off the scales. Stacey and Gregory were a perfect match. I would recommend this book and author. Check her out!👏👏👏
I loved the story and it was a quick read. You could feel the love between Stacey and Gregory. Over the years it took time for them to admit their feelings. I was glad to read they got it right.
It’s never too late to declare your love and that is exactly what Gregory. It took him a while to truly know what was in his heart when it came to loving Stacey. I’m glad Stacey finally gave into her hearts desire for Gregory and did the right thing in choosing the live of her life. I can’t wait to read the next book In this series.
