The Daily Revival: A collection of good deeds that have largely been forsaken

Rate this book
Have you mastered the art of ‘present absence’? Have you come across loans that lead to paradise? Have you established a Masjid at home? Have you put together your final testament? Your station as a Muslim in the eyes of Allah is directly linked to your level of adherence to His Messenger’s (PBUH) way. More often than not, his actions were weaved into and around his daily errands, becoming opportunities available to each and every one of us. So before allowing another moment of our lives to pass, take a moment to ask How many golden opportunities am I missing out on in my day to day that can nudge me way ahead of others on the Day of Reckoning? During your past times, when you leave the home, when you’re wedged in places and meetings you’d rather miss, there is an act of worship that you probably never knew of! This short book brings together 40 concise and carefully selected, heart-warming reminders to revive your spirits and reignite your zeal to change an often dreary routine into one good action followed by another. Often they will cultivate an inner belief or emotion, revive a daily habit, nurture a leadership technique or upright etiquette or recuperate an otherwise neglected financial act of kindness loved by Allah and unlimitedly heavy on your scales. This book will, by Allah’s leave, reintroduce a forgotten act of worship in every single aspect of your life.

Beautiful book, honestly. If you want to learn some forgotten Sunan and stuff you can definitely implement to some extent, I recommend this. It has the references for the ahadith and provides a good understanding of them.

This is the book of good deeds based on sunnah that have been largely forsaken. There are 40 simple but impactful sunnah's that we can practice in our daily lives.

Below are some of the simple but yet powerful sunnah's that are quite interesting to practice immediately:

1. The importance of words of encouragement to others and dutifulness to parents
2. Opportunity to erase sins
3. Reconcile people in conflict.
4. Runaway from fame
5. The importance of Solat Taubat and Dhuha

and many more. Highly recommended.

I can easily give this book 5 stars but I'm a bit too careful and need proper and full citations and references in religious books that I read. Apart from that point, this is a very good book to read for when we intend to start doing more good deeds, or inculcating new daily practices.

A lot of the Prophet's sunnah that is not specific worship ('ibadah) is usually forsaken, which is such a shame, for all that the Prophet does is purposeful and infused with good intentions. We should learn about them and try to practise them in our lives as well.

I read this daily with my family for our tawsiyah sessions after every Maghrib prayer. The book has been very insightful, and it motivated us to do as the Prophet did - from the simplest things such as having the right intentions, to certain acts of worship.

The elaborations are fairly simple, but always thought provoking and heart touching. It's suitable for short reading sessions.

I love this book. It is one of my favourite read for this year. There is a lot of the sunnah that I learn from this compact book.

Definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about our Prophet's sunnah ❤️

The book serves to remind us of the good deeds of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wasallam that might have been forsaken by us, knowingly or unknowingly. It's a great book to revive the prophetic practices especially in these unprecedented times of challenges and adversities. Along with the authentic hadiths and stories of the prophet and his sahabahs- some of them were alien to me before, the author made a great effort to simplify every one of the deed, which results in better understanding.

An excellent book that provides clarity and motivation to practice the 40 presented sunnahs, which are forever relevant in today's world.
